Anyone got any experience in setting one of these up before? Like gilberto, I've never played a Network Game before so I'm not sure what has to be done exactly. Do we need a list of who's playing before game is set up or what? If anyone else knows then feel free to set it up and rest can join in. In the meantime, I'll start reading the manual for help to see how to set it up

The in game chat isn't great so it's best if you all use something like msn with the game in windowed mode. There'd probably be loads of trouble setting it up if it's people playing online for the first time. I haven't played CM online in years though.

Yeah I have played online and have a step-by-step guide on how it is set-up. I can start it if you want or I can post up how to set it up? Whichever you want.

I tried doing it with the guide given on fmformation.com but it still didn't work when I got someone to try joining it so fire ahead CTID if you don't mind.

Yeah shall we wait until a few more teams are taken up. People so far:

Me (Derry City)
Sligoman (Longford)
Red & White Rover (Sligo Rvs)
harpstillidie (Finn Harps)
gilberto_eire (Galway Utd)

We all have to agree on how we are going to work this. One day a week or what? Time to play at and until? Remember people may be working so may not be able to agree to the times. We all have to agree on a set day(s) and time.

I'll later post up instructions on how to join a network game. Now I have to go a buy it:eek::D

ok well Matt Gordon isnt a CB
Danny Ventre can also play CB
Gary Curran doesnt play RB

The average attendance should be higher , its currently around 800 should be 1500

How do I join this network game??? I'll take Drogheda shur...what do i need to do to join the network game here

gustavo
05/11/2007, 10:57 AM
All we need to do is decide who is going to host it and the times and dates it will take place on, getting players for the rest of the teams would be nice too!

studsup
05/11/2007, 10:59 AM
oh rite gustavo, how long more do ya reckon we'll be waiting, lookin forward to it now...what speed broadband wud you need to have...I have 2mb would that be alrite?

gustavo
05/11/2007, 2:07 PM
that speed broadband should be sound , mine isnt much better..It's all a waiting game really , i think sligoman volunteered to host it so its up to him really.

We all have to be running the same version of the game, this is seperate to the db we are using , so you should download the latest patch

as long as GUFC's reputation is at least put in the same line as waterford/longford/UCD/Bray and are attendences are raised from 800 to adverage of 2,200 im happy with my team like that!.

sligos reputuation is the same as GUFC's aswell which is a bit of a joke tbh!!

will be very hard to get a time that EVERYONE can make!!.

I'd be up for it, I assume it's Premier teams only, if so who's left?

I think before any DB changes happen, they have to be agreed upon by a majority on here. I don't mean fixing player positions but rather rating and/or reputation changes. How does everyone feel about that?

Well I done my own db changes and only 2 of them involved rep changes. They were Galway because I thought their rep was too low for a club that is full time. I also changed Shelbournes rep because they are now in the 1st Division and set them to semi-pro rather than pro.

The db changes I made were all those posted on here and also ones from oher clubs which needed doing.

Yep no prblem. Who does he want?

Aaron
05/11/2007, 8:57 PM
I have just played it for the first time. Looks well and with all the db changes I made is more realistic. I also have the kits and emblems in, competition names proper and competition logos.looks the part. I reccommend whoever plays it and whoever is playing online download the kits and logos, it makes the game look excellent

Aaron

People, I was thinking should we start the game after the promotion/relegation has been decided, so that we can start with what will be next season? Or do you wish to start ASAP?

How many teams are we waiting on before we get started?

Also ctid, if we all need the same database(or whatever it's called:o) can you put up the link to what one we should all have downloaded? Also, a link to downloading kits etc. Thanks

Do you have an idea what times you will do it? I can't do midweek but might be able to do weekend if the time suits.

gilberto_eire
07/11/2007, 8:57 PM
i think everybody will have problems making week days at certain intervals

personally i play footie mon=9-10, tue=8-10, thurs=8-9..... also time to get there and back adds on an hour or so.
guitar wednesday(for 2 more weeks at least) 8-9.

thats just me and you can be sure everyone else will have bits and bobs here and there.

just taught then after dman' said he cant do weekdays that maybe sundays would be best for everyone or at least the majority??....

gustavo

Sundays are fine with me

harpstilidie

Sunday is dodgy for me. I would be available some sundays but not others so not too sure. If its awkward me being harps I'll change if you want.

jebus
10/11/2007, 12:57 PM
Sundays and Mondays would be best for me. To be honest I don't know how the online system works though, what happens if we call it for say Sunday and one particular sunday one or two of us can't make it?
