Good few days for City, 2-0 away win in Europe, an away victory in the league and other results meaning we gain on the leaders.
Healy and Farrelly playing some friendly tomorrow night in Bishopstown with a view to starting in Dalymount Tuesday.
We're in with a chance.

happy with a 0-0 draw, Ramblers really dropping the ball against Shels tonight, I mean Monaghan hopped them, and what with the fancy football apparantly on show in Cobh these days.....:p

Aertel now informs us that Kilkenny had a man sent off after 20 minutes, and Wexford had one dismissed after 54.

Fantastic in its own way.

Should have at least gotten a draw. Missed so many good chances then the ball coming back off the post into Devines greatful arms. We gave cork their two goals with some moments of madness.

just back from dundalk v lim 37. Lim were well worth the draw, actually they had the best two chances to score, but overall 0-0 was a fair reflection of the play = awful game.

Lim'k fans * you looked a decent team tonight, how in gods name did you go on that losing streak, looked a well organised side, also was impressed at the end there was no jumping for joy with the point.

We are very lucky to be top tonight, still we`ll take it.

* what was the away kit like ? red white stripes/red shorts/red socks ? sligo rovers in the 80`s ?

Farewell goal from O'Donovan? After he scored Devine told us that O'Donovan is going at the end of the season.

If Longford had an even half decent striker up front they'd have won tonight. Mooney wasted all the chances they created.

Yep :( 4 clear cut chances, aswell as one that looked certain to go in only for it to hit the post and back into Devine's arms. Ah well, when your down, your down.

Longford were very unlucky last night not to get something out of the game as they attacking as much as I have ever seen them. Devine has been shocking all season :( While Longford should have had more than one goal its also true Roy O'Donovan should also have had a hattrick.

Those were the colours the first senior football team in Limerick played in

Changed to Blue in the late 40's AFAIK

all he did for the goal was run half an empty pitch then round the keeper

The defender was on the line.

It was easy.

(b) I'd have scored from there, with the nearest defender ten yards behind me.

Fair play pineapple, not only would you have scored that goal you'd have been nominated for Goal of the Month. Why are you wasting your time on this message board when you could be helping UCD move up the table? :D

What can I say? Accountancy pays more. :)

I think we all know the standard of eL Goal of the Month. It's the ten goals they happen to competently capture on camera.
