Watched a couple of movies on tv3 recently. Not sure which was worse Van Hensing or Oceans 12. Oceans 12 was an introduction on how you make a movies with loads of star actors but no script.
Oceans 12 seemed like the script was written by committee while filming it.
"Hey I've a really clever, convoluted and hilarious idea. Lets have the character that Julia Roberts is playing in the film, pretend to be Julia Roberts (the famous actress) in the film." Genius.

I cannot believe that someone put Love Actually on the list of Keira Knightly's "Good" films - pure muck that I still get passionately angry about.
Legend of The Seven Golden Vampires is spectacularly bad - worst hammer flick ever, beats even The Horror Of Frankenstein
I have spent a good bit of time thinking and I cannot come up with a better worst picking actor than Demi Moore - Cage had at least one good one in Raising Arizona (I blame his agent for that one). I might be wrong, but Demi Moore's best one to date is probably Charlies Angels 2 - if that is the case, the weight of evidence convicts her - Striptease, GI Jane, The Scarlet Letter, The Juror, etc, etc.

i broke up with my ex-girlfriend the day after going to see it in the cinema. poxy film. and seems way too long.

You did the right thing breaking up with her if she enjoyed that trite consumerist rubbish. Saved yourself a fortune in pints being drunk in order to be with her.
That said....

I am not sure if it has already been mentioned but I would certainly put Tom Cruise in Room 101 if I got half a chance, Cocktail, Far and Away(?) to name just two :(

I don't think anyone has mentioned the Metallica Rock-umentary 'Some Kind Of Monster'.
I watched it for the 2nd and last time last night (saw it last year ...dodgy copy with subtitles ...picked up a copy in a sale recently -thank feck it cost little more than a rental)
Some very thin patches of tragi-comedy aside it is just a tragically bad piece of film-making.
I'm a Metallica fan and I found it excruciating to watch ...I got the impression that only the most vapid reality tv fan could get anything out of it. It had the very real feel of a feature length episode of 'Hogan Knows Best' and frankly -there are piping hot sliced pans sitting on supermarket shelves that will age better than it.
What it tells you about the charcters involved is for a different thread in a different sub-forum ...but I can't see myself buying any more Metallica records.:(

I have to agree there Lionel. I thought they came out very badly from it. Nothing malicious about them, they're just plain thick. I did get a bit of a laugh out of their therapist though.

Of course, if you're accepting documentaries then I'd throw Loose Change (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7218920724339766288&q=loose+change&total=2185&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0) in.
Captivity, I knew it would be rubbish, but it gives rubbish a bad name to be honest

Well Kirk Hammett particularly came across as a rank fcuking idiot. The other two came across as men who have had a somewhat stunted development and are now saddled with retarded inter-personal skills ...or put another way -not enough people have said the word "No" to these lads over the last twenty odd years.
Somewhat strangely the only people who I thought emerged from it with their dignity intact and talking any sense were Dave Mustaine and Jason Newsted.
An honourable mention also has to go to Robert Trujillo ...simply because he can put his hands up and say "don't look at me I just walked onto the set of this televised train-wreck in the last fifteen minutes".
Distressing to watch.

Had to dig this thread up, recently rented "Transformers" ...just awful, in the same category/crap formula of Independence Day....I guess I was swayed by the looks of the special effects in some of the trailers...fast forwarded thru most of it and it's almost 2 1/2 hours.

Others, like Signs, The Village, and in my opinion Fight Club, think they are sending a message, cloak themselves in layers of supposedly deep meaning, but finally are about nothing at all. These are the films that really disappoint us, I think.
Three films I thoroughly enjoyed.
I wasnt aware there was meant to be any messages or deep meanings however, perhaps that why I wasnt disappointed.

Horrible film. I was made watch it by an ex once but thankfully the DVD was dodgy and the film got stuck about halfway in.

Everything about the film is bad. From Hugh Grant to Martine McCutcheon, the film stinks. If an American saw the film, they'd tihnk everyone in London were stuck up middle class where they all lived in posh apartments. And the ending. Oh God the ending. Shoot me now.

Two bad films to add to the list are:
The Four Feathers

Spun

But the worst film ever is and always will be Tank Girl

Admittedly I've never watched the whole movie(s) but nowadays any CGI film based on a popular cartoon back in the day is always bound to be awful. For instance:
Scooby Doo (how could you? A classic ruined)
Garfield and Garfield 2 (the cat looks NOTHING like Garfield)
and now Alvin and the Chipmunks. Stop destroying 80's cartoon classics!

Its a movie of a game what did you expect ??? ground breaking scripts ?
Street fighter
Silent hill
Mortal Kombat
Super mario
Doom
The only two that are any good are tomb raider ( angelina in tight clothes allways a winner ) and the resident evil flicks are good zombie movies

Jeez, he's pretty wooden, but he's not that bad. A film like "A Perfect World" will show you he can actually act quite well if he's working with a capable director.
Worst actor in history..........I'll go for Ben Affleck. Or David Spade.

You don't actually have to watch any of it. I'd sooner people who make statements like yours be shot. The worst Kevin Smith can be accused of is making a bad film.

The Boondock Saints.
Its a film about an Irish mob in New York. Not sure if any in Ireland heard of this. I never did until I came to Sweden where the Swedes lap it up. They thinks its the bee's knees. A lot of the Irish lads too.
Its the biggest load of absolute monkey spunk. The worst film I have evr clapped eyes on. DO NOT WATCH IT.

Jesus. Don't get uppity just because you don't agree with my opinion. Of course I don't have to watch any of it. Maybe I should just never watch a film, read a book, or listen to a song for the rest of my life in case I form an opinion that upsets you.

If only for the one moment where the film tells ya "oh by the way, I'm totally unrealistic." look at how Denzels going to stop time and save the day.
