Boo Radleys: C'mon Kids.
Lazarus, I hang suspended, and Wishing I was skinny should have been, if there was any justice in the world.

Lazarus is an amazing tune alright. One of my all time favs. Giant Steps and Everything's Alright Forever both amazing albums.

Orson - No Tomorrow from last year. Did they even do a follow-up single? who cares.

New Radicals - Get What You Give. Not a bad song, but think yer man disappeared to write songs for Ronan Keating. Good move sunshine.

Apologies if anyone has already said it but Starship's "We built this city" is a prime example of a one hit wonder.

Yes, and in fact a bigger hit in the UK charts.

Starship, from the film, Mannequin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mannequin_%28film%29)
I remember it well because a friend's older sister was dancing to it a his 11th birthday party and I fancied her. One of those first time you noticed certain things moments! :D She was 14 so there was no chance! :o

Nah ... they have loads of songs. I've one of their singles at home somewhere and its not that one.

What about the Cornells' 74/75, that chap that sung about his Lemon Tree, the Friends theme tune, and that song that was in the Coca-Cola ad years back ("for the very first time" or something like that)?

Would've thought Lump was a bigger PUSA hit anyway. And was Dune Buggy a hit as well - sticks in my head anyway...

Also charted with 'Volcano', 'Mach 5' and (went top 10) with their excellent cover of 'Video Killed The Radio Star' from the Wedding Singer movie.

Hoddle and Waddle - Diamond Lights

Andy Cole and Ian Wright both released songs - not sure if they did well enough to be called 'hits' though.

And of course, Paul McGrath had a hit here with "Ooh Aah Paul McGrath" :) which I did buy but it probably wasn't the happiest incident for himself and those who bought it. :(

Andy Cole, of course. "Outstanding" was the name of his awful effort.

The La's - There She Goes

The La's had a few minor hits I'm sure. I remember 'Way Out' was a good one, the one that goes 'Give it all you got now', but I can't recall if it charted or not. 'There She Goes' was re-released too and did it's best work second time out.

He should have had a load more hits in his incarnation as John Shuttleworth - particularly the classic 'Your like Manchester, You've got Strangeways'

That I concede!

Fiction Factory's "Feels Like Heaven" from the 80s was a catchy one, but the Vapors is the best I think.

Yeah that was a good one alright. The band featured one Mike Ogletree on drums who played a bit with Simple Minds.
