the ref still took hes 18.50 match fee he didnt care about it plus why did they play matchs on it saturday

honestly i dont know and to be honest we were keen to go up to the pike field but the ref had left very quickly, i think the pitch was playable there wasnt surface water on the pitch at all, both teams were well happy for the game to go ahead!!!

anybody here at the fairview game?

was up there myself and frankly they were shocking!!! not one player out there could walk of the pitch wit any self respect wit the exception of gary hannon, think their carrying to many players.. brendan hughes was centre back, as good as he may have been in his day.. he's wel passed his sell by date, too slow!!as well few of them didnt want to no about it... like rossi to mention one!!!

ye'll be slight favorites alright but I reckon and hope we give ye a good game regardless of the result.
As summerville said we know how to score but unfortunately we can't stop other teams from scoring seems to be our problem.
I assume all the star lads will not get caught up in the paddies day atmosphere:D :D
I dunno bout our lads though:D

Well being in the higher league, we would be favourites, but you never know in cup football (just ask Regional and Fairview, who have fallen to teams in a lower league than them in the first round of the Lawson this season).....

Cant see many lads staying in Saturday, with it being Paddy's Day and the last day of Cheltenham!!!!!!!

Will the game be on in Garryowen (as per the paper) or in Rathuard????

ya read that on the leader alright,
last couple of games we have done well in rathuard, suits the younger lads!!!
strange decision if it is fixed there as i think we last played in garryowen against shannon or wembley early in the season, but yoy of all people know how the committee works so i wouldn't be surprised if they fixed it for the green somehow thinking it would be advantageous to us

Thats what I meat, I was just repeating what you stated.
I think the minors have an afternoon game in Rathuard and thats why our game is going ahead in Garryowen.

good honest assessment of the match.
ye should have scored in the first half when the pike keeper saved onto the bar but for that ye had nothing much. were ye missing players as ye are top of the league but on today's performance i would not have thought so (i am not taking the ****) or is there that big a gap between div 1 and premier?

we were missing one or 2 but thats still no excuse as we have a hugh panel...To be brutally honest there was a nice few of us on the beer the night before...I know its no excuse but its paddys weekend and if there is one day u have to go out its paddys day and its a shame it fell on a saturday or is it a farse that the ldmc had games on the day after it!!! Eitherway its back to the league now for us and maybe a run in our divisional cup!!

honestly i think theres a massive gulf between 1a and premier.. well the top 4 or 5 in premier ands the rest..sur pike did the same to wembley in a cup there a few months back, id be the first to admit we'd need five or six players if we went up.. i wouldnt share the same excuse as summervilleman in relation to drinking the saturday... as from talkin to a few of them at full time alot of pike players were out sat too

i think there is a big gap in 1a and premier top 5 but top 3 or 4 in 1a would esily compete with the bottom half of premier..... 3 teams went up last year and seem to be doin ok especially corbally.... star and herbertstown not been disgraced

Park Rangers would be a massive loss to Limerick football and Shannon if they went out of footballing existance. I follow Newtown and I still think that. All I am is a fan of football. Park always played good football.

Thanks for the kind words hairy. But it does look like it's 1B for us next year. League table never lies....
