Bull**** - Nobody really expected Georgie to sign for us, it showed how much we had progressed that we were even talking to a player like that.

So its jealousy then ;)

Just don't be sticking this thread into Drogs Digest now :)

I'm hearing that the wheels are well and truly starting to fall off the C-a-w-k bandwagon. :D

Partizan...you seriously need to look at the state of your own club...;)

I'm always the first to congratulate the opposition, and I was no different at the SC Final. I believe that the attitude to have is, if you win celebrate, if you lose get back to reality, it was only a game. After all, you could be killed in a car crash on the way home!
Unfortunately, some of the lads I was with don't have the same attitude, and while they didn't go causing trouble, they responded (by shouting) to the TAUNTING BY THE DROGS FANS on the way out! (Spitting by the Drogs fans BTW).

This brings me to my point that it is as important to be gracious in victory as it is to be gracious in defeat, as seen with the camaraderie between the CCFC and DCFC fans after the last game of last season! Both sets of fans were a credit to their club!

I for one would not have taunted Drogs fans, had we won!

The thing that really surprised me was the 'scum element' of 'City fans' in the pubs before the game. The fighting inside and outside Quinns before the game (City fans among themselves BTW) was a disgrace!

I actually do have a minor solution to the problem.....get Ian Sheehan to regulate the people travelling on his buses, or else scrap them!

Sorry admin I have to protest at this as there is no proof of this.

Cork supporters were caught on camera and now all of a sudden there is this unsubstantiated accusations and a serious slur on the name of Drogs supporters - it appears to be nothing more than an attempt to justify the Cork supporters actions - I trust you will take the appropriate action regarding this post as it is clearly a WUM at his best.

The boring football in Longball Town must be getting to their fans.
Unless some complaint is made to Cork City FC and individuals are identified, they have no reason to take any action for events which are alleged to have taken place at a neutral venue where Cork City FC had no control over security.
Will be interesting to see how perfect the Longballers are when we visit for the FAI Cup. Get a life Macy!

In fairness if fellas were acting the scum and disgracing your clubs name and you had said fellas on camera would you not rather they were dealt with rather then the club doing nothing simply because they don't have to???

In fairness, everyone involved with the club was at Tolka and not watching the game on TV. I haven't seen the alleged incidents because I was at the game and never saw the coverage. I'm sure that's also true for a lot of other people. Who's to say that Cork City FC are any different? I wouldn't have known anything about it except for the moaning and bitching of neutrals on here.
If every club acted on every accusation posted on foot.ie they'd be working day and night to trawl through the pages of "reports".
Like I said, the security was very quesitonable on the night.
Not something Cork City FC had control over.

Peadar,
You're dosging the issue. The club presumably has a copy of the tape and can certainly get hold of one. Faces are clearly visible on it. It is simply a case of check the tape, spot the faces and ban the people.

What reason would my club have to watch the "celebrations" after the game? Have they been asked to take a look at the tape with respect to certain alleged incidents? Just because something is posted on foot.ie doesn't mean it has any significance in the real world.

If the referee included something about this in his match report and the Setanta Sports Cup Committee decide at their meeting that some action should be taken then I expect Cork City FC will comply with their decision. For now, it's neutrals blowing off some steam on an Internet forum.

Ignoring the specific issue and focusing on a tangent, what are the procedures for banning someone from a club? People here seem to think it's like flicking a switch; personally I imagine that the logistics are a damn sight more complicated.

How many gates, on average, at each club? How many banned? When does the ban expire? Do the stewards carry photographs or PDAs? If photos, do they flick through the batch for every attendee? Who manages distribution and "deletion"? If PDAs, who pays for them?

Or do you all want to be asked for ID at the gate perhaps? Aside from the inconvenience and even possible civil liberty issues, who wants to pay more for the extra cost involved at the gate?

Have to agree. They'd have to get the face from the video give a picture to all teh stewards and hope one of them spots him/them on the way into a game with probably another 3000 people there. Unless the club actually know the face itd be very hard to do

interesting - no action taken - is it because the wum was posted by a Cork poster?

Baseless accusations to try and get Drogs to rise to the bait - I thought this site ban things like that?

interesting - no action taken - is it because the wum was posted by a Cork poster?Did you report the post (http://foot.ie/showpost.php?p=467542&postcount=8)? Did you contact a moderator (http://foot.ie/showpost.php?p=467543&postcount=9)? Foot.ie currently gets ~420 posts a day, I don't read 'em all. No-one does. If you have a complaint, post it in a logical place please, not in the middle of a thread.

Where's the love today, Sean???

A few people have reported being abused by Drogs. Didn't see it myself but just because it wasn't caught on camera doesn't make it any less serious if true.

I really think to much time has been wasted on this thread. Drogheda won the cup, some people weren't happy. It's time now for everyone to concentrate on qualifying for the competition again next season.
