Only watched the game on tape this evening as I had to work last night.
Super stuff all round.
Good Post, agree with everything you wrote.

When are we playing England in football?
I Didn't realise we only hated them when we're playing them!

Before this decends into farce - some people really hate England and others don't hate England - we've had this all before. We don't need to go down this road again.

At the match. Shivered me timbers off on the north Terrace. Great displays all round from Duff, Keane, Reid and Dunne. A O'brien looked very shaky at the back. I'd try O'Shea beside Dunne in the next match.
Doyle played okay, he's ahead of clint, who wasn't really up for it when he came on.
Did anyone else see the half dozen of so swedish birds heading for the exits at the bottom of the north terrace, with ten minutes to go. They got one hell of a cheer from a load of lads in the east stand :p :D

Ciaran Murray is the chartered physiotherapist as far as I know..
Bill Bagster of Anna Livia's "The Absolute Game" has often been quoted as describing Mick Byrne as the " Unchartered Physiotherapist" which is technically the case.

Why? What has O'Shea ever done to deserve so many chances and be tried on so many positions for Ireland? Square pegs and round holes. It's as though people think that because he's a Manchester United player we must have him in the team.

We are very short of options at center back, I'm not sure if Stan sees O'Shea or Breen as #3 in that position, but who else do we have Deh Doc? McCarthy? McShane? I would like to see O'Shea play a game or two for Ireland at center back. O'Brien will be playing in the Championship next season.

If that happens, hopefully it is in the next two games against Chile and Holland, after which there will be no doubt that O'Shea is not a Centre Back and just in time before the games that matter.

Agreed. O'Shea has recently said he feels center midfield or center back are his best positions. He has not had too many opportunities to play center back for Ireland at senior level so the jury is still out, I wouldn't play him at center back in a competitive game against strong opposition until he goes some way towards proving himself there, you will agree that our options are threadbare at center back. The result and performance last Wednesday are being over hyped, we won't know what it meant if anything for another year or so.
O'Brien and Doyle are having excellent seasons and look like guys who can be around for a long time but they could as easily turn in the next generation of Barry Quinns, Thomas Butlers, Stephen McPhails and Michael Reddys.

Makes interesting reading after the recent doom mongers stuff.

what would make more interesting reading would be to find some of the damning criticisms of Kerr made by the likes of yourself and some of the hilarious speculation bout who the next manager would be also by your little clique.......much more interesting:D

Owlsfan can I join your clique, it sounds so much fun, is their a special hand shake in order to get in or do we all have to support Sheff Wed or do you have to have an owl in your name.
I think comments like the likes of yourself are never healthy in any sort of debate, personal insults like that tied to generalisations are not good in my view in any forum.

Wow you debating whizz you.
I merely pointed out the fact everyone holds views according to information available at the time. Intelligent people develop their thinking as they absorb more info. less intelligent people cling to their views like a comfort blanket regardless of any contrary evidence. Pointing out that people have changed their opinions over time is pointless. There is nothing personal in that.

Again making snide sarcastic comments about me. You said attack the poster not the post and I clearly did that so your post from above is in fact incorrect.
In addition comments like "the likes of yourself" and referring to little cliques that dont even exist are personal comments about Owls fan which are un warranted in my view.
