fabulous win on pens today for coachford flying the flag with pride for cork football.. class club aul must be in dread if they lose them
What round are they in now Steve, they are flying tbf to them.

And why shouldn’t they be left enter, that’s a bit harsh. Ucc are there consistently unlike other clubs who have come and gone when things weren’t going there way , should them clubs not be left back in aswell.
!00% those clubs shouldnt be left back in

They are into the quarter finals . Fair play to avondale too for getting there. Aisling Annacotty FC ,Broadford, Coachford , Avondale , Fairview , St Michaels , killarney Celtic and Villa FC make up the quarter finals . Think the draw is tomorrow

Coachford at home to avondale and once they win that away to aishling annacotty or st michaels. Tough route to the final hope they do it be a boost for a flagging junior football in cork.

All finals are poor it’s about the result over passing was a problem but 2 goals chalked off as well didn’t help just outfought to be honest

1 of those goals was bizarre there was a blackpool fella in the net so offside was impossible. But agree blackpool played there game plan to a tee and deserved the win. Another 2 finals tomorrow in the cross.

Technically by the book, if your in the net your off the field of play of play an cannot be included in a off sode call.
But that's me being a stickler.

Happened to me years ago, I stepped inside the goal so the player would be offside. He missed the chance but I got booked. Did the Blackpool player get booked the other night

Congrats to Grangevale on the win Sunday. A decent side. Shows how competitive that Div 1 is, could be higher up that table another year.

Besides the divisional Cup (st Michaels) banteer and Grangevale both win cups this weekend . Both good sides
Div 1 is a very strong league . No easy games home or away . Totally agree with the league could be higher. I know as I'm playing in the division . 😬😬😬.
The league run in is gonna be very close .

In fairness all the divisions despite peoples negativity towards the Aul are all still competitive. The Cups have been a breath of fresh air to be honest an the spread of trophies has been brilliant to see. Next season will see a big shake up no doubt an a re arranging of the divisions but in any job you have to clear out the chaff an restart again . Best of luck to all those still plugging away.

Did coachford play and beat Rockmount earlier this year? What was the score? Just catching up on old messages and that seems to be the case from messages from February. That’s a incredible win for them and junior soccer in generel if they did.

Ahh sure look it’s only a friendly but I’m told it was a full strength rockmount no big deal any team can be beaten but we here are championing the aul side and rightly so

That’s very impressive, I’d be intrigued to see how they would fare in Msl at this stage, sad as it may be for the flag bearers of the Aul at this stage to go it must be said that the players arguably will push to test themselves at a higher level now since they are by far and away the best team in Aul and probably junior soccer in cork now. Ive no doubt if they went into Msl division 1 now they be up the top side of it definitely and maybe premier but sadly it would take 2 years at least to get promoted to them by which time this squad might not be the same , I’d love if Aul had top clubs still but at this stage they are the only club left with a underage and facilities of there own so it’s only matter of time until there gone to, but the Msl division 3 is a lower standard then Aul premier I’d say so that’s a waste of a year for them too, sure Passage won that without losing a game and with +50 odd goal difference and they were only junior division 1 the last while .

You got it right there . A friendly doesnt matter one bit. Coachford would be motivated to play Rockmount . I cant imagine the same could be said about Rockmount playing Coachford.

City Challenge - Grangevale
County Cup - Banteer
St. Michaels - Blackpool
Likely UCC for the league with Blarney Street competitive throughout.
Add on a Cathedral that fell away.
That 1st Division looks like it was as strong as thought at start of the season with honours spread.

The spread of Trophy’s has been good this season and a bit more success for other clubs yet to come in the form of league titles.
This is fantastic as it makes a lot of other clubs think they have a chance of doing something.
The season as a whole as being more positive than negative for the AUL.
The big worry once again is the loss of more teams ultimately the League can’t sustain this.
And if they are to stop this the league needs to start asking why are the folding before the season ends and questions must be asked as to why this is happening.
Is it the leagues fault?
The Clubs own fault?
Or a combination of both?
Ultimately the league will once again pick up a few new teams and also heard talks of some second teams coming back from MSL.
All will be very interesting to see what divisions will look like if there is a restructure!?

Although it would be great to have 2nd teams back in from MSL, aren't they not allowed by MSL? When they move over I'm sure they have to bring the second team too.
Who is linked with folding/moving?
Will Glen Celtic, Dunbar and Hibs be back?
Hearing SouthCoast could go.

To be quite honest the bit about second teams coming could just be rubbish but previously there has been second teams of MSL teams in the AUL Castleview are a current example.
I don’t know the rules but I have known the AUL were hoping previously the second teams would come.
As for the clubs folding they shouldn’t be allowed just back

I said the exact same . Im playing with Blackpool and it's the toughest league I've played in ever . No let up in quality in any of the division . Even rylane and rathcoole aren't pushovers or a soft 3 points . The league has been a rollercoaster and to be fair the teams that have won cups shows the strength of that division . Also the corinthians Cup I think will go to either banteer or Grangevale.

I said the same myself, I’ve never been involved in a division where anyone can beat anyone. Normally 2 or 3 teams are well ahead of everyone but this division was super competitive. In saying that the premier A looks a bit similar which is great to see. Grangevale for me for the Corinthians cup and il stick my neck on the line and say Grattan for the Aoh

The reason I would go with grattan is the fact Coachford might burn out by the 5th of June so they might get caught. Grattan are big game specialists also tbf

Coachford beat Bosco's 5-1 yesterday game competitve until about 60 -70 mins at 2-1;then Coachford ran out easy winners in the end Bosco's had two sent off in last 15 mins. Coachford very sharpand fit as you would expect.

How do lads think the leagues will finish with the way things stand now? I will go with the following:
Prem: 1st Coachford 2nd Grattan Utd A- Coachford are a class above, second wide open but think Grattan will come through from the bunch
Prem A: 1st Corkbeg 2nd Springfield- Corkbeg seem to be flying it, Springers to hold on to second then
Div 1: 1st UCC 2nd Blarney St- UCCs to lose really, too many games in hands not to drop points, Blarney st to get enough points from the games in hand too to pick up second
Div 2: 1st Richmond 2nd Killumney- Richmond just to hold off Killumney- Wont be much in it though, both good teams
Div 3: 1st Shandon Celtic 2nd Churchvilla- Shandon coming good the right time , temple or los zarcos could challenge too
Dont seem to be too far off here with most with a few weeks to go, looks like Kilumney got the better of Richmond in division 2 alright and Churchvilla look like they have fallen away also.
Anyone know what happened in the Premier A title race? I see a few tweets about it? Something to do with a result overturned?
Would imagine a bit of a reshuffle of leagues next year with the amount of teams folding or leaving for MSL in the premier divisions
