Coachford definitely going senior next season after they rip up cork for 1 year class club I'd say Aul gone in 2 seasons .

Rip up Cork? There is not much left to rip up . The AUL is a pathetic joke at this stage

Pathetic joke is a bit much, standard in football at all levels has dropped considerably. There are players now playing week in week out in the munster senior league in their late 30's that were only playing junior in their peak. Referees are getting too much abuse lads that's why there is a shortage, leagues should bring in heavy fines to clubs that fail to control their lines and that includes club members and supporters

The question is how do you get more refs on board.

We are fine hurlers on the ditch saying this lad is poor or the other is poor very few willing to put on the refs jersey in the finish

I agree with most of what you say but some refs are a joke not all but 3or 4 wer very agenda driven ..but I guess it was the money with them ... either way lose coachford and it huge on the back of covid

Another 4 games of today, if I was one of them players I’d take a ref with an agenda any day.

Another disappointing weekend of cancellations.

Shocking for everyone involved who were delighted to have games back after COVID.

It will be really those teams who can try to stay on top of things who will succeed come the other side of Xmas.

We’re those games COVID cancellations or referees shortages.
I know the school boys lost over 10 games today due to referee shortages

How is losing Coachford the be all and end all, sort out the referee situation and we will be on the pigs back again. How many rounds are there in cork in the fai cup?

1 game Saturday was a walk over and beat this they forgot to tell the ref and he should up to no teams!!!

Another game Sunday was called Saturday night due to a club having covid related issue. Had a ref assigned to it but no game madness.

I think there is plenty interest from Clubs around Cork in general for the league to continue for years to come. What incentive is there for any fellas to take up refereeing though. Abuse, aggression, intimidation, insults, threats. It's less tolerated at the higher levels, but on a Sunday morning in AUL, you're on your own. I can see why there's a shortage! You'd need to pay lads a bit more to make it any way worthwhile...

The fairfield this morning was a thriller of a game i dont know how blarney st won it a savage result for them. Hibs will be like dogs they left an awful game after them. Sunday morning dont suit the Blareny st it looked like down to bare bones numbers wise but what a win for them.

Without going into too much detail, it involved "supporters" fighting opposition on the pitch.

What you are saying is true. So they now have to play all their games away from the Glen Park for the season. Thats going to be expensive.

They should walk the league with the squad they have. Couple of premier lads joined them . They are very fit from what I saw of them.

If they had any ambition they would be gone by now. They have a good setup facilities wise and an underage structure. Why are they still in the AUL?

I’m sure they will sooner rather than later. Takes a few seasons to get the house in order to make the switch to MSL. No point rushing it if they aren’t ready. It’s not as straight forward as just joining MSL. Need to make sure foundations are in place for decent young lads coming through to eventually go senior and so on.
