Sligo are tweeting in Westlife quotes tonight.
For that, they deserve to lose.
And hilariously, we have scored! 1-0 good guys. Scales.
I once used One Direction song titles (we had a viral tweet about them earlier in the week so I pulled up a list for the occasion) throughout updates on a game on twitter.
No one noticed. #GreatestLeagueInTheWorld

Reading that’s its difficult to tell whether he was he really upset or just putting out a call to us to employ him- bit of both methinks , anyway unfortunately he won’t be the last to have stuff like that shouted at him

Pats were poor tonight, I kind of seeing what the problem is the pats fans have.
No real attacking threat and not a lot of football

I beg Harry Kenny and more to the point us fans are out out of our misery soon. This guy has no idea how to set up a team to even create a chance in open play. It's embarrassing. Kevin Toner is somehow our most threatening player despite being a centre half and this has been the case for weeks now. G'way.

Didn’t think Rovers had to get out of second gear tonight. We could have been there until Christmas and not scored one never mind get back into the game. The whole Kenny era has a very vanilla feeling about it.

Sadly that's all true. We had a good bit of the ball in the second half, but Rovers were coasting by then. They didn't create much either, but we never laid a glove on them really. Wouldn't fault the team for effort, but we can't pass it with any urgency and accuracy in the middle of the pitch and just look toothless up front. When you look at what Bohs can do, with a far less healthy budget than us I'm sure, it puts it in context.
Weather was lovely though!

Pats very poor tonite. No idea's and just lumping the ball up to Drennan. Only threat was from set pieces but the deliveries let them down big time especially from McCabe when he came on. Big changes needed. I'd get rid of the wing backs and just go back to out n out wingers i think even if it means going 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1.

P!ss game in Finn Park tonight. Neither side seemed to want the win. Feels like two points dropped but another valuable point for Harps ahead of a big one on Friday night against UCD.

I expected much more from Harps after their win over Sligo but they never even got near to us. McNulty must have thought he was still on holiday.
We've down to the bare bones at present.
Both teams brutal up front.

He's not injured physically but mentally there's something not right with him, he's done nothing all season, hard to watch at times.

Robbing a living. I know the chap had **** to deal with off the field but so do most and they have to be competent at their jobs. He looks finished if the current trend of form continues.

I was always a fan and hoped he might have come to Rovers when he was coming back.
Struck me he didn't even look that bothered when he was getting hauled off.
It would be very unprofessional of him but you'd have to wonder would he have done better under bucko, he didn't sign up for last nights stuff

Yep, pretty much spot on there!
Both goalkeepers could have went off for a few pints and came back on the final whistle.
Seemed like both sides were happy to play out a 0-0. Different approach altogether from Harps from Friday night where we looked to get forward and attack Sligo. We didn't really create anything last night and apart from two long shots outside the box going narrowly wide, we hardly tested the Cork goal at all.
Amazing how far Cork have fallen.

Micky Drennan looks very out of condition (and he wasnt the only one), he was through on goal with no one between him and Manus after Pico miss controlled the ball and after running 10 yards he cut back inside and looked for support, Pico had taken 3 yards out of him in ten having slipped and Pico wouldn't be quick.
I'm definitely on the Pats fans page after last night, if HK cant get the team on the pitch fit and motivated its time to go

Poor fare at Dalymount last night. Derry the better side in first half and Bohs better second half. 2/3rd choice players and it showed ! Totally lacking in quality throughout. Given our injuries Bohs won’t be unhappy with the draw and Derry seemed happy enough with a point as well.
Excellent crowd for a Monday night at a totally forgettable match.

Keith Long calling for an extended season after the match, it really is amazing everyone wants a longer season and yet nothing seems to change.
Start the season next year on Feb 1st and finish on 15th November with no mid season break, no midweek games and the players can take their holidays in Dubai in November and December :)

New one on me that Long " came begging" for a job with you, and you chose Harry kenny?:D
Some sense of entitlement from some Pats fans on here! I get that Pats fans dont like Kenny and his style of play. It strikes me that the squad is pretty much mid table fare, and that Pats have assumed their traditional position as third club in Dublin, and maybe fourth club next year. You will still be able to unfurl your " never relegated" banner at the end of the season , so that counts as a success?
Pats wont be competing in Europe again any time soon, unless you luck out again. Chill out and enjoy your European adventure, you wont be playing Rovers, so Harry will be motivated to get a result.

He interviewed for the job when Bucko left. Should have taken him when he had the chance. Although I'm sure he'll come looking again, he can't keeping working miracles at Bohs with no money and Rovers will figure out how to beat them eventually.
At least he'll get a bit of money at Pats and a chance of winning something.

I did hear that he interviewed before and the full time gig was his problem as he has a job, same reason Conan Byrne left.
How will that have changed if you sack Harry, unless you go back to training in the evenings

I think it was more a question of Pats chose a manager who would commit to full time and Long didn't want to give up his job.
I'd say at this point the Pats board are wishing they had gone full time but allowed Long to manage part time with a full time assistant / trainer.

Assuming one of the top 3 win the cup 4th place is completely do able.

Would need a BIG improvement to catch Derry or Bohs and I can’t see any basis to believe that’s likely. Cup win might cap their season off and they should have the players to give it a go. That would buy him another season to gel a team together. Big ask given their form to date

They are 1 point behind 4th place Derry (admittedly with 2 more games played) if they win on Friday and assuming Dundalk beat Derry they are 2 points clear in 4th place.
I do accept though thats just Maths the performance needs to change significantly or the Maths wont.

They need to be sacked nevermind drug tested. Not sure who was saying we 'won the league' in the transfer window but Bohs having a freak season similar to Drogs in 2012 certainly isn't helping our chances of getting Europe.

Bohs finished 1 place and 1 point behind Pats last season. Not sure how it’s “freakish” to be ahead of them this season 😁 we have Benifited from Cork and (to a lesser extent) Waterford) imploding but otherwise not too surprising table.
Unfortunate (especially for Harry 😁) that transfer dealings raised expectations of Pats fans way beyond what was deliverable.

Overachieving compared to Pats. But that's setting the bar VERY low.

In fairness, thats not what he said at all. He was referencing our position relative to Pats. One point behind last year wasnt a lot to make up. Being third and comfortably so for now, is a very welcome surprise but it has been coming under Long. Easily the best manager in the league over the last 4 seasons. Aaron Callaghan and Keith Long are among the best decisions the club ever made (admittedly some of the previous decisions under different leadership set a fairly low baseline :) ).

The implosion of cork, Waterford and pats underperforming compared to reasonable expectations has made the league a very different one then was expected. Good to see in some ways after the predictability of the last few seasons

Actually I was highlighting the silly arrogance of Pats fans "surprised" at them being below Bohs. With the exception of Corks implosion (don't think anyone saw such rapid decline coming) the League is not that surprising, Dundalk and Shams 1st and 2nd, Bohs Derry Pats in next group. Waterford drop somewhat predictable as they tailed off last season.
Long has been brilliant and Bohs better than expected but not shockingly so. Pats fans a bit bitter that their spending spree left them worse off ?

Surprised that Waterford and Sligo aren't competing for 3rd/4th.Two good football teams.Pats overacheived last season.Every fan's delusions about their own teams propects is a matter of course, but some of the stuff from some Pats posters on here is beyond that.
Pats fans I know have been seriously worried about the future for their team and club for a long timeThe sooner they face facts and move to Tallaght, the better for them.

I grew up in Tallaght and just don't see it. I reckon we would be seen as secondary tenents. In the nearby communities Kilnamanagh ,Kingswood, Clondalkin you will find some Pats fans but no more that the Rovers fans in them. In the heart of Tallaght it's all Rovers in LOI followers . I think our fate is entwined with Dublin 8 or it's surrounds.
