This isn't anti bohs.
I don't think that is the right reaction.

Hahahaha what an absolute joke.

Clearly not a prestigious enough competition for Ireland's biggest footballing brand to bother their holes.

Don't understand why the semi-final couldn't have been postponed though?

I guess the bottom line is that it wasn't important enough a compeititon for Bohs, nor worth the hassle.

I'd be surprised if LOI clubs get invited back after this. Combining largely amateur Summer and Winter leagues from physically separated countries into one cup competition has, in hindsight, proven a challenge/pain in the arse.

Bohs withdraw from competition, embarrassing situation all round

Is this because the FAI's official Hotel partner didn't keep the spare hotel available?

Terrible decision, actually claiming the club cant fulfill a fixture before the semi in two weeks is embarrassing. If East Fife wouldn't/ couldn't fulfill the fixture then they should pull out.

At times like this I find it's always helpful to ask oneself - what would Bob Marley do ?

That's a good point actually. The programme will be a bit of a rarity/novelty item in years to come.

Connah's Quay won their Irn Bru semi last night on penalties to go on to face Ross County in the final.

I suspect Ross County will be too strong for them, but you could have a major domestic trophy leaving Scotland for the first time (ignoring Berwick's lower league titles).

Meanwhile, the SPFL have said they look forward to including LOI clubs again next year, but some Scottish clubs are less enthusiastic :

Bohs withdrew because the SFA changed their own rules and sought to reschedule the postponed match in East Fife.Personally, I think Pats had the right idea in snubbing this farce as Scottish teams only want LOI teams in it as long as they go out in the first round (note there was no complaints in previous years) but when LOI teams actually win a game or two the 'welcome' soon evaporates.
Peterhead have done nothing but moan since Bohs beat them, taking sour grapes to a new level.
the SFA were made aware of the summer/winter season (potential) clash before the competition started - in a meeting with Bohs and the FAI, and agreed to work around it so what all the whinging is about is anyone's guess (apart from aforementioned sour grapes).
Best leave the Scots to it until they learn how to organise the thing properly (but don't hold your breath :D). Interesting idea for a competition but present set up a farce.
