Semi-final draw will take place on this Weds.(21st Nov)
Teams involved -
Bohs/East Fife
Connahs Quay
Edinburgh City
Ross County
Semi-final ties are due to be played on the weekend of February 16/17, with the final scheduled for March 23/24.

If Bohs win, then Edinburgh City is the plum draw in there.
Ross County away would be a bit of a nightmare on a number of levels. And Connahs Quay are a decent side.
They still have to beat East Fife though.
Bohs or East Fife away to Ross County in semis/Connahs Quay v Edinburgh City in the other tie

Not a bad pre season game to have. Wrap up warm any Bohs fans going over though, it'll be like the artic up there in February

Maybe wait for the East Fife game first and then the draw afterwards before making any travel plans ;)

Didn’t know anybody was “making travel plans” do enlighten us.
Given the “flexibility” around dates - I think the League here starts around the scheduled date for the semi, it would be very brave to book anything. Obviously the only focus is on East Fife but fans and club will equally obviously be exploring travel options SHOULD we get through.

FFS - would you ever lighten up !
Rathfarnham Hoop was talking about people needing to wrap up warm when they go over. There are no fixtures to go over to Scotland for yet (unless his reference was to the weather in North Dublin).
Cheer up lad - it's almost Christmas.

I forgot to put "if you qualify" at the end but yeah the northside thing, let's go with that. I'd hope Bohs can beat an average Scottish 3rd division team though

Bohemians won’t play on opening night of the League of Ireland season if they reach IRN-BRU Cup last four

The draw has happened, and Ross County are scheduled to host the winners of that Bohs fixture on Friday 15th February.

Hopefully the League season schedulers (?) do their homework and have it that Rovers play bohs in the last game in the round, and therefore last game of the season. Rovers could kill 2 birds with one stone.

Rovers at home to Bohs on the opening night on RTE with the new third stand open.
Bohs better not F it up by beating East Fife.

To be fair, based on recent results, Ross County (or pretty much anyone) would be a much harder game for Bohs :D

Cork on a major rebuilding job, I'd say they'd be hoping for an easier start then that...will take time for them.to stich together as a unit.

No mention yet of the fact that Bohs have their long-delayed Irn Bru Cup Quarter-Final match against East Fife tomorrow afternoon. I can only assume excitement has got the better of everyone.
Presumably it's not on TV anywhere ?

Press conference was yesterday (Friday) so hopefully some coverage in today’s papers. East Fife in mid season so should be more up to the pace. Lot of new players at Bohs so no real form (probably why there has been scant comment).
Straight to pens if it’s a draw at 90 mins.
Oh, and it will be great to be back at football.
Let the madness begin 😁

I assumed that the 3pm KO ruled out any TV coverage, as it's the rules in England and Wales at least (if not also Scotland and NI).

Any word on when it's likely to get rescheduled to ? It's in danger of becoming a mid-week match at this stage.

Called off very late so pretty shambolic (about 10 minutes before KO). There was a rumour that it might be played tomorrow but think that's unlikely. 12th of never might be most likely date 😁

Would seem a bit harsh to make Bohs travel though - unless there's an availability issue with Dalymount.
It wasn't their fault the game was called off.

SFA to meet on Monday to decide. No reason why it would be moved to East Fife, ref (appointed by SFA) called it off so why should Bohs lose home advantage ?
Every chance was given to get it played - hence late call (it was deemed unplayable by the ref at 1.30). Unfortunate for East Fife but cancellations not exactly new in Scottish football.
Not sure how many but some East Fife fans have travelled over TWICE and still not seen a match (they had booked for the earlier date).

What a gobshytes are suggesting that? Who would pay for Bohs costs of playing it away? How will Bohs' part-time squad/management get at short notice 2 days minimum off work from their employers at short notice? How would that protect the integrity of a competition by punishing the home drawn team by reversing the fixture based on a referee's decision to postpone the fixture?

Think it’s just a few disgruntled east fife fans (obviously) disappointed at game been postponed.
Logical outcome is game rescheduled at Dalymount over next week or so.
Of all countries Scotland should understand games called off due to bad weather 😁

Could they not have postponed the game just to today and maybe set Tolka Park up as a backup so that the game would be sure to go ahead today? Surely hotel rooms for the night and new flights home would be cheaper than new return flights.

I'm sure the FAI have an "official hotel partner" that could sort something out for them.

Do you honestly think there are any decent hotels in Dublin sitting with much free capacity on the night of an Ireland England rugby match - let alone room for a few dozen footballers, staff and Directors (not to mention a few hundred fans) ?
Who is the FAI's 'official hotel partner' anyway ? If they have one, they'll no doubt be close to Lansdowne - which would be the busiest location during the Six Nations.

Hotel owners tend to have more than one hotel.
Seems the idea was viable to some extent just East Fife wanted to go home.
"Discussions between Bohemians, East Fife, the FAI and the SPFL were held about the possibility of playing the game later yesterday evening or this morning at an alternative venue to minimise travel expenses and disruption for East Fife, with both the synthetic surfaces at Abbotstown and Oriel Park mooted."

Apparently alternative venues were suggested by Bohs (abbotstown and Oriel among others) but East Fift declined. Seems their players had a “night out” in Dublin instead. Then they try and claim a walkover 😳 expect this will be the last time LOI teams are involved

JD : Errr - no. Tomorrow! Ask me tomorrow ! Anyways. We've a team over from Scotland in desperate need of a hotel for an extra night in Dublin after their match got snowed off. Can yee's help ?
HOTEL : Sorry John. It's a rugby weekend. The place is crawling with English fellas boring the arse off everyone about Brexit and carrying pigeon heads in their pockets.

I was replying to the fact the hotel would probably be near Lansdowne so would be packed, a hotel on the outskirts or outside Dublin would be less likely to be packed
