How many have we signed that would get within an asses roar of a start with any other premier team?

Two? Three at a push?

This boatload of Brits would want to be decent.

Could have had Pat Fenlon the man spearheading Waterford ahead of Martin Russell too chalk that down as another fantastic decision by the lads file it next to Taylor over Kenny.

Neil is playing it cool, no need to panic early like Derry or you end up with the 1st 14 year old million pound kid....

So in the last year the following have left for various reasons:
Paudie O'Connor, Robson, Williams, Kelly, Paul O'Conor, Turner, Coughlan, O'Flynn, Kenny, Mulhall, Crowe, Hery and it seems Clarke is going now.The futures of Lynch, Tosi, Dave O'connor and Ogbene are also in doubt.

The club is trying to pull the wool over our eyes if they think we only need a couple of players. By my reckon we need at least 8 'first team' players and that's only on the condition that we don't loose anyone else. Not sure where there are 8 players available either that would improve on last years outing.

Fenton has some very "interesting" observations regarding our interview process and our famous board. Stuff of legend ... he wouldn't touch the place with a barge pole.

I'd say he's waiting for Big Sam to get a job to get a loan of a few players, if not it'll be grand as you can't beat a good oul relegation battle for a bit of excitement.

Sick of relegation battles but that's what's ahead of us. Our only hope is Bray will be worse than us. Can't see us worrying anybody at this stage.

We wouldn't worry sheep in our current state. With licensing around the corner, it ain't looking good.

There's no way the FAI will throw out Limerick especially as they have so much egg on their face over Bray last season. The 10 team Premier will be as predicted.

The FAI will avoid the egg over the face if they turn us down before KO, it'd actually be a coup as to how stringently they analyse the application, and avoid the annual mid season will they won't they, survive. You'd also worry how long the MF owners will accept the current rent strike ..

That's an amazing signing.

Oh, it's not 2011 :(

Nah, he's interesting though. A lot better than another contract for Ian Turner!

This is (assuming hes not terrible) exactly the type of player I wanted to see McDonald bringing in.

My McDonald theory is back on.

We love you Neil!

How many more like this will come ?

Will it be five ?

Will it be eight ?

Or will we go bigly & get twelfty ?

Anything can happen when a man is up on a pill in a helicopter

Its all on. Again.

Well realistically we need a goalie, four full backs, four centre half's, six midfielders four wingers and four strikers.

To be sure to be sure.

So I make that 23.

Hopefully Pat supplied him with the helicopter from GTA San Andreas that you could lift planes with and not just a regular Huey.

According to today’s papers Aston Villa are favourites to sign Ogbene. Anyone got any ideas of what kind of money we could be talking including add ons etc. Any chance the club are waiting to see could it potentially provide McDonald with a war chest to splash some cash ??

A real head scratcher that one, nowhere more than the corridors of power at Limerick FC I'm sure over recent days. Just hope the club don't hinder it if it's on for him and are fair about it that if he does well appearances wise etc, we do well down the line also. (Not saying give him away obviously)

You'd be hoping the club signings finance strategy for a key season under the new imported management team wasn't hinging on a big English side having a punt on a lad we lifted out of the Cork u19s not so long ago & anything that does come of it will be on top.

Whatever about the fee, we should be looking for a few on loan from Villa. U wouldn't give Superman a hefty budget to "spend" as his choices to date have been less than inspirational..

Nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to LOI Football. Money is there at the moment but like every club it’s tight and will rely on financial support so that would be about the most negative thing. That isn’t something I would have thought would have come as a shock. There are outstanding debts that need to be cleare. Again nothing I would have thought of out of the ordinary when you consider the running costs and how much comes in.

If anything I’d say there was a few positives. New players agreed terms but have to be finalised before announcements, Bruff is receiving Sports Capital Grants for pitches and upgrades, a few new trust members to add in. All in all a good informative night and hopefully a bit of good news to come with signings before Christmas.

It was beings decided during the week. With last years gear being sold off over the weekend I’d imagine an announcement coming during the week. Going by Sligos jersey just released I wouldn’t mind Joma.

Contract renewal / offer by text really isn't the way to do business, a fact not gone unnoticed by potential targets to date .. It's a train wreck approach.

Rubbish. Players were all met face to face the Thursday before the Shamrock Rovers game and told they were either being let go or were offered a contract. They were asked to get back to the club with their decision and when they didn’t get back it was then the club rang/text them.

There has been discussions between the club and players. Some have been straight out about moving on. Some have tried for better deals. That’s football.

That's not exactly what happened either players were met and were told they were being let go or were going to be offered contracts no actual offers were made that day. The offers were made over the phone.
