Waterford Utd v UCD match pushed back to a 8:05 ko due to traffic problems etc...

That's a very Europa League kick off time

Just to make us feel at home I guess.

And it's worked!
1-0 UCD.
There's no other possible reason we could be leading this match.
But it'dbe a huge result for us if we can win and if Cobh drop points against Limerick tomorrow.

30/09/2016, 7:20 PM
And Waterford equalise.
Ho hum.

It's ok; 3-1 now.
Pender the first Bray player to score in five successive games. And he's a local lad too.

6-1 now.
A third of the season for Jayo.
A lot of quick fire goals - 9 and 11 minutes (one each), 28, 29 and 31 minutes, and then 75 and 76 minutes.
Meanwhile, Bray win again, though at least Bohs manage to score.

7-1 now; Jayo again.
Our record away win.

What's Jayo on now? Goals like ;)

30/09/2016, 8:45 PM
Four for us. But he generally just comes on for the last 20 minutes.
I think he started off 13/14 off the record; something like that?
His best moment of the season was hitting the underside of the bar from inside the centre-circle against Swindon in a friendly. He's definitely still got the football brain anyway.

8-1 now. Four goals in 6 minutes.
Wonder if this will scare off Roddy's investors?

You did.
There's still time left too! Another five minutes.
(Though that guarantee the end of the goals...)
I think 7-0 is our record win of any sort. So this matches it.

Cobh 1-0 up on Limerick! :(
pineapple stu
01/10/2016, 7:42 PM
And Shane Duggan sent off for Limerick now.
Looks like we'll have to go and score another 8 against Shels next week.
If Limerick lose this but beat Drogheda next week, and UCD and Cobh win next week (against Shels/Cabo at home), there'll be a huge final day set up, with UCD travelling to Drogheda and Cobh in Athlone, ready to take advantage of a win for either side.

2-0 Cobh.
Arse. They're on a decent run of form now.

Cobh definitely have the easier of the final two series of games, but anything can happen. UCDs far superior goal difference could be what separates them in the end.
Drogheda is an interesting one though, should Cobh win both their games and Drogheda lose to Limerick and UCD, then they'd miss out on the playoff. Fascinating end to the season in store. If Cobh, Limerick & UCD win next week, it's set up for a photo finish.

Should be an interesting game. We will have to be at our best tomorrow that's for sure. Cautiously optimistic though

The playoff race in 1st div just got interesting.
UCD have the superior GD thanks to last night. 4 points or more combined with Drogs losing in Limerick will overtake them over the Drogs.
Drogheda have the toughest pair of games. Limerick and UCD. Realistically a point will be enough, but that is no gimmie.
Cobh have the easiest run in and will likely beat Cabo and Athlone. However if Drogs get a point they will need to hammer both sides to make up GD on Drogs.

I saw earlier in the week Pats were 5/1. thought they were mad odds.
Anyway semi finals are always ties for underdogs I feels. The greater the underdog then the more dangerous they become. Especially when PAts are not actually a bad side. They aren't as good as last season or the couple of seasons before but they have decent players.
There are certain levellers also. I think the time of the FAI semi finals and even the final sometimes disorientate the players. They are so used to evening kick offs and have their daily routine disturbed with a change in the time so you never know.
I am really hoping for a draw in this. Both clubs at each other from the go.
Our game I hope is free flowing and sorted in 90 mins. I liked the way Derry played last week in Oriel and it was entertaining. I have a feeling this wont be the case and they will be dogged and fight for every patch

A quick internet poll shows 120% of our fans want Russell gone.
Board need to act quickly.
Hearing rumours some of our travelling support sacked part of cobh aswell.
Which if true is entirely understandable.

So there's road works near Richmond park.. has this already begun in previous days. I'd imagine surely not just starting today, that would be mad considering a big crowd will be going to the game

The council probably doesn't associate Richmond Park with big crowds.
Hopefully everyone will make it on time. I missed the start of our last two games in the Europa League in Dublin due to traffic congestion.

They should if it's Cup Semi Final day but ah well, should be there in time and nothing like the debacle in dundalk in 2014

Dundalk are way off the levels of Thursday night. Derry will kick themselves if they pass up the opportunity of getting to the Aviva.

Dundork couldn't possibly let this slip now? Sava very unlucky there, Boyle leaving it to him was the bigger mistake there. I think he's a much better goalkeeper than Rogers.

It was already congested, this makes it marginally worse. No big deal.
Derry just about deserved the draw. Dundalk had the better chances and should have been more than two up by the time Derry scored their first goal.
However, it takes great character to come back from two nil down away from home.

Great result considering we look dead and buried at half time. Thought Dundalk would've got a third and ended things but super stuff from us to get two goals. Thought we deserved it too - Dundalk did have chances, but Sava was forced into a few good saves.
Thought we made some really silly errors for the goals as well but, considering we were playing with the most makeshift of defences for most of the second half, a really excellent result.
Disappointing result for Dundalk but making 8 changes from the starting xi v Macabi probably had a little unsettling feel to the side.
I thought Derry probably deserved the draw, Kilduff had a great chance to make it 3-1, but that's how it goes, credit to Derry being 2-0 down at HT. The replay was certainly not what Dundalk wanted, and it kills the chance of a league match next week, but it could have been worse, we're still in the cup, and with the Sligo match moving to a Saturday, there is 3 days rest to that match now.
Decent crowd down from Derry and 3,300 was a a very good turn out for 1.45 on a Sunday and live on tv.

Really don't know what to make of that result. We were cruising till derry fortunately got one. Looked to me like should be a free out. Then we were all of sudden tired.
Replay but sure we were always going to go the hard way

Damp squid of a game, to be honest. Not that Cork will care.
Pats' fans showed the confidence they have in their team by staying away.

That hurt. Didn't go into the game with any great expectation, but still massively disappointing. Thought we started well and played most of the football until Corks first goal, then after getting ourselves back into it I was genuinely hopeful at halftime. It's the hope that kills ya, not the despair. Second half we just weren't in it. This is where we are at the moment as a team though. Very disheartening when you think of the side we had two or three years ago.
