I'd be shocked if this wasn't on course to be the season with the least PL goals scored by Irish players.

You'd have to go back to 98/99(or pre Robbie Keane) when only 16 were scored.
Currently on 19.

The elder brother was injured for a lot of this past while I think. He doesn't seem to be too down in the dumps over it. Hope an opportunity has presented itself.

James Talbot, Dan Casey and Jean Yves-Poame are in their U23 squad - https://www.safc.com/players/u23s - but I don't know how many of them have played in the tournament so far

Yes got a year last year as well. Must be tough slogging just trying to get the next one year deal. Maybe monk getting the sack wood help him. Just looking at championship clubs we have very few players in the underage setups. Now in fairness the retained lists for clubs like Huddersfield and reading and Villa don't seem to be out yet and we must have about 10 underage players across those clubs

Four Ireland players in Burnley's starting XI today - Kevin Long, Robbie Brady, Jeff Hendrick and Stephen Ward - that's the most in a Premier League game in 2016/17 and the most since Paul McShane, Stephen Quinn, David Meyler and (coincidentally) Robbie Brady started for Hull against Manchester United in May 2015

I've got nineteen goals for Irish players in the Premier League this season - David Meyler(1), Stephen Ward(1), James McClean(1), James McCarthy(1), Jonathan Walters(4), Shane Long(3), Harry Arter(1), Jeff Hendrick(2), Seamus Coleman(4), Robbie Brady(1)

Sam Vokes netted more goals over the last four weeks (5) than any individual Irish player could net over the entire season.
He netted 10 goals this season, which is 6 goals less than the overall goalscoring tally for Irish players.
Puts into perspective how stark things are from an Irish perspective.
It really has been a dreadful season from an Irish perspective when you factor in Coleman and McCarthy's injury problems, the war of words between O'Neill and Coleman, overall form of Irish players, lack of players breaking in and the incredible lack of goals.
I think Walters is the only player who scored after the beginning of February.

The "beginning of February" is a bit vague.
Harry Arter and James McCarthy scored on February 4th
Shane Long scored on February 11th
Robbie Brady scored on February 12th

That is amazing, to be honest. Given how much depth of young talent they have as demonstrated by England under 20's (up front Lookman and Calvert Lewin) and how he has been so chronically injured. Fair play.
