I wonder what the data is with regards starts, as opposed to caps. I'd hazard a guess that Hoolahan possibly has even more than McClean and Long but also I'd also think that he might be ranked lower than third overall, with the likes of Coleman, Whelan and Walters coming into the equation.
Get back to work Tets. :)

That's not how ordinal numbers work.
He's 8th, because there's seven people ahead of him.

Big Jon gets a welcome start for Stoke today at Upton Park. Whelan also in the starting XI. Randolph on the bench for West Ham. (Given also on the bench for Stoke).
Arter booked after three minutes but involved in Bournemouth's lead goal against Sunderland. 1-1 now though at half time. John O'Shea not in the Sunderland squad.
Hendrick starts as Burnley race into a 2-0 lead over Crystal Palace. (Delaney starts for Palace).
Christie, Keogh & Pearce again made up three quarters of the Derby defence earlier as they won 3-2 at Wolves.
McGeady back in the Preston starting line-up and did some good work for an assist to put them 2-0 up at Rotherham. Cunningham also started with Doyle on the bench.
Sean Scannell and Stephen Gleeson start the match between Huddersfield & Birmingham.
McShane starts as Reading lead 2-0 at Wigan.
Westwood back minding the net at Sheffield Wednesday. Didn't have much chance with Ipswich's goal by the sounds of it and Wednesday have equalised since.
Clark starts as Newcastle lead Cardiff 2-0. No sign of Murphy or Pilkington.
Brady scored for Norwich (although might go down as an o.g.) and Hoolahan booked as Norwich lead Leeds 1-0. O'Kane starts for Leeds.
Shodipo on the bench as ten man QPR trail 1-0 at the City Ground.
Hourihane starts at Burton. 0-0 at half time.
Lenihan starts as Blackburn are level at 0-0 at Villa Park. Byrne on the bench, no sign of the rest.

O'Shea's target at the start of the season was to hit double figures for the first time in his career.
He is on 8 now having come agonisingly close to hitting double figures over the last several seasons.
Taking over spotkick duties should see him over the line.

Southampton knocked Manchester United out of the F.A. Youth Cup at Old Trafford tonight with Kilkenny's Thomas O'Connor (http://foot.ie/threads/202551-Thomas-O-Connor-(Southampton)?highlight=Thomas+o%27connor) scoring this equaliser (https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1180333508711099&id=814533345291119) inside the last ten minutes. His namesake, Waterford's Lee O'Connor (http://www.manutd.com/en/Players-And-Staff/The-Academy/Lee-OConnor.aspx), started centre back for United and was (United's?) man of the match according to this (http://thepeoplesperson.com/2016/12/12/fa-youth-cup-manchester-united-1-2-southampton-168349/).

Westwood, Egan and Carey named in the EFL Team of 2016: http://www.efl.com/news/article/2016/efl-team-of-2016-3491454.aspx
Goalkeeper: Kieren Westwood (Sheffield Wednesday)
Westwood played a huge part in the success that Sheffield Wednesday enjoyed last season, and has taken his fine form into the current campaign.
The Republic of Ireland international kept nine clean sheets at the back-end of 2015/16 and was outstanding in the Play-Off Final defeat to Hull City, and he has kept another eight so far this term with the Owls in promotion contention once again.
Defender: John Egan (Gillingham/Brentford)
Egan was in excellent form in 2016, firstly for Gillingham and then for Brentford, after the Sky Bet Championship outfit moved for his services in the summer.
The 24-year-old earned a place in the PFA League One Team of the Year despite the Gills narrowly missing out on a Play-Off spot, then began his Bees career in style by scoring twice on his home debut, in what was also one of eight clean sheets kept by the club so far this term.
Midfielder: Graham Carey (Plymouth Argyle)
Despite Plymouth slipping out of the automatic promotion places in the second half of the 2015/16 season, Carey was still one of the standout players in Sky Bet League Two, and was named the sixth best player in the division as the Pilgrims missed out on promotion in the Play-Off Final.
The Irishman is at his best again this term with nine goals and eight assists to date, and the Green Army are riding high once again, only trailing the league leaders due to goal difference.
