Renember maybe 18 months ago lots of talk of him moving to Utd or somewhere . Seemed to not b involved with us for a while then I thought he might become a victim of his imperial masters but has been back involved with us again and seems commited to us on Twitter . Doesn't seem to have been involved at 23 s yet at palace

Richie Towell after scoring his first goal for Brighton today in the FA Cup away to Lincoln City

Don't think there's any thread on Lincoln City's captain Alan Power. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Power) I resisted opening one seeing as he's 29 and playing non-league football, but they're the story of the FA Cup so far, beating Ipswich and Brighton to reach the last sixteen. Power scored a penalty to set them on their way today.

Was he highly rated at one point, or am I confusing him with another player named Power?

He debuted for Nottingham Forest at 18 or 19 so he's probably the guy you're thinking of. The only other Power I can think of is new Waterford owner Lee Power, who was an under-21 international in the 90s.

Cian Bolger in the EFL Team of the week http://www.efl.com/news/article/2016/sky-bet-efl-team-of-the-week-3586145.aspx?utm_source=emailmarketing&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=efl_matchday_roundup_20feb2016&utm_content=2017-02-21_1031

Bolger hit the five-goal milestone for the season after heading home the winner as Fleetwood Town maintained their promotion charge. The centre-back was impressive at the back as the Cod Army kept MK Dons at bay, before having his say at the other end with the decisive goal.

I notice there is also a Paul Mullin in that team from Merseyside scoring for Morcombe. Some green blood there I suspect.

West Brom – A second Wilson on the list. Marc Wilson on loan to WBA from Bournemouth. I had no idea he played for any of those clubs.

Stoke – The man with 15 nans, Stephen Ireland is still knocking about Stoke

Burnley – Cork City to England and a Long but Kevin Long is not Shane’s brother apparently. Very disappointing.

I know Roy scored in Liam Brady's testimonial v Bulgaria.

Liam Brady's testimonial was against Finland I think. Keane scored in David O'Leary's testimonial but it was against Hungary, not Bulgaria.

I have something in my head about a Phelan goal for Ireland, a kind of volley into the ground that bounced over the keeper... or maybe even a deflection... or something... could have been a goal at club level though or just a figment of my imagination.
