Saturday away games would obviously bring more of them out as well. A similar element travelled to Longford on a few occasions and did damage in pubs in Longford and nearby towns including foot.ie's spiritual home, Tarmonbarry. I think we moved any home games against ye away from the Saturday night recently.
They were both on Saturday last season and no trouble afaik. I was at the first one anyway and around the town later on and nobody reported any trouble to me. I'm aware of the reputation alright but the ******** element has fallen off a lot since we had regular games against you before.

I have to agree with Charlie here. It's been a long time since we've had any trouble with the Rovers following. Well behaved last season and when we played them a few years ago in the cup when we were down in first division there was no trouble. We lost that one but we gave them a good game and dominated it if I remember correctly. I thought then there might be bother with the team getting frustrated I thought it might filter through to the supporters but in fairness to them there was not one bit of bother. We had Bohs the following year in the cup and let's just say, things weren't so nice with them!

Fair enough I stand corrected. I didn't hear of anything last season either in fairness. Must have been the Rovers B games I was thinking of, what with the massive security risk they posed..

Keep losing to them and keep calling them Rovers and ye should be OK.
Funny enough, we've beat them in our last 2 meetings in the Premier and drew the one before that I think.
