View Full Version : FAI Cup Final. Cork City V Dundalk 8/11/15

It's been asked 3 times ,but still wondering....what is the story with Premium tickets, asked in the club office and they said they knew nothing about them, don't remember the big deal any other year.
From what I can gather - they are €20 ( at least that's what they were the last 2 years ) and go on general sale along with the rest of the tickets when the clubs have sold their allocation. That is all I can decipher from looking back at the 2014 / 2013 cup threads.
Clubs don't get an allocation of premium tickets. They're sold by the FAI only

Yeah meant when each club sell their general tickets

There was only a handful of tickets left in Oriel earlier today. Getting more tickets from the FAI is harder than getting them from Shamrock Rovers.

The club chairman is quoted in the Democrat this week. 4,500 tickets were sold in the first three days they were on sale last week.
Not a bad start considering that most of the fans I know are waiting for better placed seats to go on sale.
That's mental stuff. Anybody I've been talking to haven't gotten tickets yet so must be a serious demand.

We won't be getting anymore tickets due to segregation

Dundalk and Cork are at opposite ends of the stadium. If Dundalk need another 1,000 or 10,000 tickets they'll get them.
Otherwise, just buy them from ticketmaster beside the Dundalk section.

Thats it WH, say that there are no more tickets and people will be up of their collective backsides to try and nab a few - and be happy when in the North Terrace!

just in there picking up my ticket. not happy where it is but my own fault for going down earlier.
the lady in the office did say that a previous customer called the FAI and they said the general release of tickets wont occur until Dundalk and cork have sold their allocation. From where my tickets are we don't have many left.
What allocation has been assigned to both clubs so far?
Its all a bit stupid really, what would happen if UCD where in the final?

Why are only the stands behind the goals and east stand available, usually they give one club north and east stand, and the other club south and west.

Working on a groundbreaking principle that more people at games is better than stopping them from attending.

While the capacity of the train is over 1000 passengers, seating is limited and will be on a first come first served basis
There are approximately 400 seats available. Seating will be on a first come first served basis. Unfortunately no reservations are possible.
That should be some craic as 1000 people arm wrestle over the 400 seats at the train station

Yes you must buy your ticket from Dundalk FC to travel on the special train. I dont see any issue with this.

you would hope that common sense would prevail and folk would openly give up their seat for an elderly person or disabled supporters if required
Haha. So Dundalk have pulled a Shamrock Rovers on themselves? #GreatestLeagueInTheWorld

A guard of honour at a cup final? You've really lost your marbles kid. Maybe it's common after the game is finished and the victors are going up to collect the trophy, but before it...

The winners normally give a GOH to the losers, guess we will have to show Cork some respect so!
p.s. Only messing this GOH is a load of *****ck's the real respect was getting 7 on the PFAI league of the year.

I believe all FAI season tickets act as premium tickets for the Cup Final so that should account for a good few (although how many will be used on the day is another issue). Also dished out to Sports Council, important people, sponsors, and anyone pally with John D :cool:presume this is why FAI keep them to themselves.
.....don't actually want real fans cluttering up the posh seats
They go on sale to the public. It's just that the clubs' allocation are for the standard seats. Not a big deal IMO

Dodge, did I hear you mention at some stage that you can buy pints on the day inside the ground regardless of your ticket being premium or general admission???

It might be worth notifying them before hand. Either they may not be open or have minimum staff on not expecting a crowd.
