Went to cloughduv vs ballincollig yesterday to watch ballincollig to see if they were real contenders for the league but was absolutely shocked they were hockied off the park yesterday from minute one to minute 90! If anyone from bcollig or cloughduv are on this im sure they would also say it could of hit double figures! Cloughduv played very well passing the ball scored some great goals striker got hat trick two centre mids got at least one each of not 2 one been chipping the keeper from outside the box! From what I watched it is crescents to lose and I don't think they will as they are a good footballing team!

Cloughduv looked very strong the day we played them. Surprised they're struggling a bit to be honest. We lost 3-1 to ballincollig a few weeks back granted we were missing half our team, but they're no where near crescent in terms of footballing. Crescent and Rathcoole look the two most impressive to me this season.

Well for a division that we missed out on winning the league by 2points last season, we are struggling at the wrong end of the table. Lost a lot of players to immigration/college etc, but seem to have had no luck whatsoever aswell. But if stability back now again tho, tough run in same as teams around us. Tough league this year tho the standard has definitely improved on last year. Thought crescent looked good last week but left their guard down wen they thought the game was over and conceded 3 goals to us in 8 minutes. We've been tormented with injuries all season too, one fella comes back three fellas get injured. Playing with 15 years now and this is defo the most frustrating yet.

Far too early for anything to be in the bag. Knocka right there with glen, pearse right there with carig, carig a point behind with 2 games in hand so nothing sorted there, i still have a sneaky feeling innish could catch tower, hearing they are very strong. Lots of ball left to play there, 21 games in that division so anything could happen. I would think crescent do have their division almost secured though. Just my opinion

Inishvilla wont catch tower not a hope! there team has a lot of old heads i no experience is key but some of the younger players are not great and thats no disrespect to inish but towers squad is far too strong i wouldn't be surprised if they won all there remaining games! Coachford and inish for second might take a drive out to watch that game when its been played think inishvilla could just about nick second. ya crescent will 100% win that league and i have sneaky feeling leeview could nick second 4/5 games in hand i know you would rather have the points on the board but there not a bad team only issue is consistency with there reults

I was told tower only have a squad of 15 players left, a fair few derby games for them in that league too which are never easy regardless of who you are. They seem to be only scraping wins too and with them having to play innish twice I will put my neck out and say innish to nick it, tower very close 2nd. Coachford all heart no quality so they won't be there at all. Id like to see tower win it but just think they will get caught somewhere

I can't see how tower will be caught by anyone!
They are allready 3 points ahead of innishvilla with 2 games on them!
Innishvilla would have to win every game from here to the finish just to have an outside chance! And that's disregarding Coachford whom are at the top and that all other teams will roll over to them which I doubt will happen! Tower easy winners for me!

No medals handed out in February that's for certain. Next 3-4 games in each league will tell an awful lot. Injuries/suspensions etc could play a big part. Few big big games left in each league anyway so interesting times ahead

Milstreet already relegated from league one looks like glenvale could be the team to join them going by league tables.
dunbarr also practically gone but 3 teams fighting it out to stay up richmond central and greenmount be interesting few games there with greenmount having 2 games in hand on teams above them! Ballinahassig are gone then between blackpool de courcey and cloughduv id say and looking like donaghmoure will be the team to drop with glanworth in the other division 2 what do ye think lads?

Crescent were always favourites to win that league IMO they'll do well in league 1 too next year with the squad they have! Rathcool a close second id like to see Leeview get there being a northside team but i think theyre too far behind now to catch either of them maybe their cup runs have cost them in the long run. Glen B should win that league at a canter really with Pa Long, Mark and Gary Nolan to name just a few.

As for league 3 no disrespect to Tower but the team they have they should be destroying teams every week too many chiefs not enough indians out there lol Innishvilla have the experience in their team it will be an exciting for that run in anyway the best of luck to all teams involved

Lads talking of league winners in february is ridicilous.
In most cases theres more games left to play than played.

as for tower they only have a small squad so all this talk of having too much for 3rd division means nothing until may.
every 3 points is a battle no matter who or what league your playing in.

That's one of the funniest posts I've seen in a long time. A fella from glen who names out those players in one sentence and then says another club has too many chiefs not enough Indians in the next sentence. Get real lad, let's be honest these so called top players who will win 2nd division at a canter aren't doing a great job at it at the moment. Knocka could easily pip them yet. Now there's a case of too many chiefs if I ever saw it so I wouldn't be too quick in commenting on another club with the mess ye have up there. As for tower, besides 3 players who were playing premier last year the rest of that team/squad all played 3rd division last year with tower. Open to correction on that but I'm fairly certain I'm right. They had a few of these "chiefs" you speak of but I'm hearing they were ran out of it after Christmas and since then they have won every game.

The issue with Glenvale is that they started the season sharing a pitch in Farranree but there was some issue with other teams having preference so they had to find somewhere else. They then went to the Regional Park where they were playing for a bit until I heard a roadway was to go through where the pitch is.

They are a good bunch of lads which are just having a tough time at the moment but realistically nobody will give a pitch this time of year when games are being cancelled due to weather. What a lot of teams are doing is having the away fixture as a home game.

Special Juan
27/02/2015, 8:23 AM
Crescent are a strong side, not taking anything away from that though they are an a side which are ageing. Division Two they seem to have wrapped up and they are going for a treble which I wouldn't begrudge them only our club is doing the same and are going for one of the cups Crescent are after.

I have a lot of friends in the Crescent camp and wish them success as a club on the up but I think next year will tell a lot. Next year they will be involved in a lot of local derbys which Division 1 will throw up so I think a few fresher younger faces are needed.

Special Juan
27/02/2015, 8:27 AM
Wouldn't be placing any bets on Rylane winning Div 1 lad, they have a tougher run in than Fairview. They still have to play Fairview away, Blackstone away, Kanturk away. All teams which are still in the hunt for the title.

Fairview have 5 games remaining and four of them are home games, ball in their court I think!!!

Call it a day
27/02/2015, 2:13 PM
Only reason I'm saying Rylane is because seen them twice this year and was impressed by them very young team with speed skill and will to win play to the last minute. They are very fit due to gaa I'd be thinking and I would back the, to go up to fair view and get a result not saying they will get 3 points which they could tho but think they could sneak a draw up there. Kanturk are not doing the best this season so I wouldn't worry there I will still go with rylane to edge it with fair view in close second! As for crescent they have a bit of youth tbh I know they have good few experienced heads but it's the mix u need and at the moment they seem to have it spot on very good young pacey winger could open up any team on his day!

Special Juan
27/02/2015, 6:17 PM
I suppose only time will tell with Division 1, there's still points to be won and lost, maybe the Fairview v Rylane game may decide the league. Blackstone Rovers are still there too though. They're not that far behind the top 2.

I don't have any issues with Crescent, as i mentioned i know a few of the lads. I'm just saying that it'll be good to see them in a league they should be in next year. My comment about having an ageing team may be a bit harsh fair enough but i've been to see them a few times and i'm just commenting on what I have seen. Experience is a good thing to have in the dressing room when chasing trophies though!!

We have a great group of lads & our team spirit is fantastic. We've a lot of players that could play higher but as Luis said we've all committed to staying together to bring the club forward as far as we can.

In relation to the "noisy" comment that's ridiculous. Yes we get frustrated & yes we get angry, show me a team that doesn't. We don't give any ref any more agro than any other team & we certainly don't get on each other's backs. We've a good captain & a strong line that don't take dissent.

We know we have games in hand but as a lot of people say id prefer the points on the board but we are going to fight hard to get into a position where we can push for promotion. We won't take any team lightly starting with Ballincollig on Sunday.

Nope all stories picked up & spread wrong. All fun of the AUL tho, the rumors & wrong stories here are worse than 96fm!

Rylane with a good result away from home heres why i think they will just edge it ahead of fairview may even come down to the game up in fairview to see who wins the league two good teams
