You could be right killer, glen have a few very good players capable of hurting any team. Just think on the astro Leeview will have the edge. Astro pitches a massive advantage in my view. Astro pitches shouldn't be allowed for competive games in my opinion, can obviously see the advantage with games not being called off but at the same time if every other club can finish out a season with a grass pitch then they're not essential! They're not so bad when new but the quality deteriorates quite quickly and its a completely different game on them

I think pearse b will have a big chance in this division they are a very strong team Anto Buckley down the wing is a great player and kieth mc in centre mid is very strong and a few other players i think they will win it this year top team

What about Tower they have to be favourites for their league

Haven't seen tower play but I got told there a very strong side

get in the hole
22/12/2014, 7:03 AM
Tower have done well against teams in higher divisions but seem to struggle against 3rd division teams. Good side with some top players no doubt but I think they show up to games against 3rd division teams thinking it's only a case of togging out and get the win. Can't have that attitude no matter who you play and I think it will cost them. Innishvilla for me!

oldlegs
22/12/2014, 10:39 AM
Tower haven't lost or drawn a game yet in the league it's theirs to lose in my view .

get in the hole
22/12/2014, 10:46 AM
I for one have always been more for points on the board. They only have 3 games played, I'm sure when they have 8, 9, 10 games played like everyone else they too will be after dropping points! In my opinion they are by far the strongest team in the lower divisions but attitude counts for an awful lot!

acfco4
22/12/2014, 2:36 PM
How can towers attitude be questioned when they have played 3 league matches and easily won all 3. They are having an unbelievable season. Lost presidents semi because a lot of players missin on the day for diff reasons but still having great season and will walk that league in fairness

the owl
23/12/2014, 7:43 AM
Yes Tower will have a fine season, and good luck to them but you really don't have to be a genius to realise why. One clubs loss is another's gain.

get in the hole
23/12/2014, 8:47 AM
If I'm not mistaken there was 4 players went from coachford to tower? But in saying that all 4 are from tower. 4 very very good players at that

acfco4
23/12/2014, 9:58 AM
Ur actually right to say 4 but only 2 actually played the other 2 only trained and played couple friendlys with them as far as I know.

get in the hole
23/12/2014, 10:05 AM
Well terry was there 2 seasons, Taggy and Doyler were there all of last season and Gavin played towards the end of last season after coming home from oz. Top player Gavin, has always been quality and from what I hear he is flying this year for ye

acfco4
23/12/2014, 10:14 AM
Didn't realise Doyle was there for a season but ya fair enough. Gavin a great player to have alright

Lads in fairness look who they're playing against in that league, no disrespect to them but Tower are far from a 3rd div side. I can't understand why the AUL placed them in that league when last year they were in the same league as Pearse B and Carrigtohill. Why switch them up it would have certainly made for a more competitive league for them. Put any of those mentioned teams into that division and they'd win it at a canter also!! As regards to div 2 I think Glen B will win their respective division with Knocknaheeny runners up. I think Leeview have the edge over crescent this season in the other division 2

get in the hole
24/12/2014, 4:59 AM
So what you're saying is you think the few strong sides in 3 should all be in the same league? That way rooting probably 2 strong sides to 3rd division football for another year or two while far poorer teams get an easy ride in other 2 divisions and get promoted above far stronger teams? Madness!! How could the aul have foreseen what has happened, tower and carigtohill were very poor last year. Plus they probably changed tower because of teams pulling out of aul and also new teams going in, keeping most teams close to each other distance wise in the same league. Less travel for fellas, good decision if you ask me. Carigtohill and pearse are no world beaters same as any 3rd division team! I'd like to see the strongest teams get promoted and have the likes of Leeview glen crescent knocka tower playing higher up the divisions. Can only benefit the aul in the long run
