Some big ones this weekend, Waterloo c only needing a point to wrap up the league in 3. Innishvilla away to Waterloo b lookin to keep in touch with coachford but the game of the week has got to be pearse against corkbeg Sunday morning with the winner claiming a play off place. I'll be up to take in this one, sure to be a tight game which could go either way.
Fair play to corkbeg the last few months coming back into big time

We had a good 4 2 win today against a very young but gutsy waterloo team we went up 3 nil they came back 3 2 and really pushed us hard but we held on and claimed all 3 PTS . Some old fellow lobbed the keeper from 15 yards inside his own half think I can retire now !!!

If coachford drop points to Los zarcos tomorrow ye are sorted for 2nd. I have a feeling coachford will drop 2 points here. Draw here for me anyway. Then again it all depends on how many are out for 1-2 pints ha. The battle for 2nd is heating up

Neither this is our third meeting of the season, we drew the first game and narrowly lost the second so nothing to fear.
there was nothing in it in the first half! Los zarcos scored shortly after half time, coachford got level with 20 to go, we went up the field and went back in front, we had a great chance with about 4 left to go 3-1 up I was sure it was in just went the wrong side of the post and then they equalised with the last play of the game!

Massive blow to coachford's chance of promotion that result. Would you think innishvilla or coachford are the stronger side?
fruice
12/04/2015, 6:48 PM
On the basis of results you would say coachford as we beat innishvilla!
But in reality innishvilla are stronger when they have guys that played up the divisions with knockavilla and innishannon! There expierence counts big time I also felt that innishvillas right full back and right wing are a great combination and they revive great service from there 2 centre backs they try and play all the time!
For me innish should do the business!

Considering the results ye have had against them it's surprising that ye are so far off of them in the league, beating innishvilla and 2 draws against coachford ye must be handy. How have ye feared against tower then? Who have ye left to play this year?

When we have everyone we are competitive, we have struggled with players missing for large parts of the season through work, injury and Saturday games also affect us.
We lost 2 nil at home to Tower at the start of the season when they were a much stronger team our second game was away after Christmas lost 1 nil they scored from the spot, we should have got a draw had two great chances, they were a different team that day! We must play everyone bar strand and coachford!

Tower went through a sticky patch after Christmas but are after clicking again now. They are on fire at the moment. They had a few disruptive influences but got rid of them and a real threat again now, some experience throughout the team and some really talented players. Ye will fancy getting a result off them this weekend by the sounds of it

Innishvilla & Coachford must meet once more if my sums are correct. They've both beaten each other 3:0 at home but don't know who gets home advantage.
I think Coachford have the following games:
Innishvilla, Tower & Waterloo B twice. One Waterloo B game is away and from the last 3 games 2 should be away from home as they've played 3 home games & 1 away game in the 3rd round of matches.
I think Innishvilla have the following:
Coachford, Los Zarcos, Strand, Tower & Waterloo - no home games yet in 3rd round of matches so minimum 3 of those 5 games should be at home. Exciting run in - but a shame that 2nd in league only guarantees a play-off.

If we knew we would fix it - haha!! We won our first 13 games and have won 2 or 3 of our next 13. Its baffling - the same 18 players still training every week. It is year 1 of a completely new squad, so we will improve again. We arent too far away as our recent games against the 4 teams above us will show - Drew with fairview, lost to a pen to Rylane, beat Kanturk earlier in the season and dominated for an hour last night.
We arent panicing in the slightest and will come good with this squad. The average age is early 20s and we are all behind the on and off field plans so we are confident this bunch will deliver in the coming seasons.
Lads, the oul standard on this forum is plummeting. We are a laughing stock now in the wider football community. Maybe the posters dont care but there are no winners in a bitch fight. Ye all come across as dopes who cant even spell - thats a biggie cos your point isnt even taken into account if you cant spell - I dont even read to the end of the post if its really bad!
Stop dissing other clubs - just worry about your own. If you havent got one, go get one and give something to local football. Yeah, its an anonymous forum but, a point is weakened, no matter how good a point it is, if you havent the courage to come out from behind the keyboard.

The race to the playoffs is heating up with ourselfs Innish winning again yesterday . Coachford going strong aswell still a bit of football to be played hopefully we can keep our run going . I think we still have to play coachford so might come down to that game

Howd ye fare out fruice?
