Am I the only one disappointed with the fact that on a day a player called Coventry moved and also a player moved to Coventry, that they weren't the same transfer?

Released by Coventry after no goals in six sub appearances and one start where he was withdrawn at halftime.
Probably unlikely to see him capped again I guess, despite our ongoing problems up front (Ferguson aside). 29 now but without a senior goal since November 2021. Can see him dropping a division next year

I wonder would he return to Ireland? Obviously depends on his family circumstances etc but maybe a move home would suit him.

Good for him. Still playing at a higher level than McClean.

Released by Carlisle after 2 goals in 29 appearances en route to relegation to the third tier.
His career has really tailed off after a promising couple of years when he was scoring for fun for Cork and hit double figures for Preston. 31 on Wednesday and could be looking at a move home now.

Did he start having hamstring trouble around the time of that good spell coming to an end ?

They've been relegated to the fourth tier. He turns 30 this week. I think he could still do a job in the LOI

Stupid renaming of leagues - you're right. Division Four, which became Division Three, which became League Two...
And also me do maths good. :o
