Kevin Long gets a chance to strut his stuff against Premier League opposition. Good to see Treacy retain his place in the team as well.

Cliff Byrne (http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/9108367/transfer-news-cliff-byrne-set-to-leave-oldham-this-month) has told Sky Sports he is set to leave Oldham this monthand is hoping to fix himself with a new club as soon as possible

We are hearing that Brentford are hoping to sign Wigan defender Rob Kiernan on loan. Brentford boss Mark Warburton is looking to bring in a new defender and is targeting a move for Kiernan who enjoyed a successful spell on loan at Griffin Park last season.

We are hearing Northampton Town are set to sign Sheffield Uniteddefender Sean McGinty on loan until the end of the season as they look to bolster their defensive options.

Chesterfield want to keep Jamie Devitt (http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11746/9108037/spireites-set-for-devitt-talks) at the club and are set to begin contract talks with the winger. The 23-year-old initially signed a deal until January 19 when he joined from Hull in July. Spireites boss Paul Cook says:

Blackburn have sent defender Kellen Daly and attacking midfielder John O'Sullivan to Southport on loan

Joe Dunne is doing a pretty good job at a mediocre Colchester United team. It will be interesting to follow his and Colchester's progress in the near future.

Graham Kavanagh started well at Carlisle but they have been faltering lately and are in relegation form.

We are hearing Bradford are tracking Dagenham & Redbridgeforward Rhys Murphy as they look to bring in a replacement for Nahki Wells. Former Arsenal trainee Murphy has impressed at Dagenham this season, scoring 12 goals and Bradford are now weighing up a move for the Republic of Ireland Under 21 international.

http://thescore.thejournal.ie/dave-mooney-leyton-orient-interview-1291012-Feb2014/

Last season, Paddy Madden’s goals earned Yeovil Town promotion to the Championship and he was rewarded with his first senior international cap.

But does Mooney realistically believe that something similar could happen to him with new manager Martin O’Neill?

“It’s every footballers dream to play for Ireland and it would be fantastic for me and my family but first and foremost I think I have to be playing in the Championship.

“If I can get in the Championship next year with Leyton Orient or whoever then I’m giving myself the best chance to be involved in a squad but I do think it’s important that you’re playing at a higher level than League One. So hopefully we can do that.

“To be an international playing for Leyton Orient in the Championship probably would’ve been a pipe dream two years ago and for that to become a reality would be fantastic.”

Is Robbie Brady not over 21?
He is, he's 22 (14/1/92), but the definition of an Under 21 player is
“Under 21 Player” means a Player under the age of 21 as at the 1 January in the year
in which the Season concerned commences (i.e. for Season 2013/14 born on or after
1 January 1992);

What was the actual comment? No sign of it in that rather sanitised article and I'm at work so have no access to Twitter. I'd imagine it's been deleted anyway seeing as it stirred a bit of controversy.

And who was dishing it out but couldn't take it?
