Just kidding.

My 7 year old wants me to take him. It'll be his first game at any level.

Baptism of fire!

I fancy our chances. Sure we're already one nil up.

This must be the least surprising news ever. That a few of their fascist knuckle-draggers will come out of the woodwork for this one.

My only fear is for a large element of our fans who are unaware of some residual anti-Irish feelings with their support. As we have a small minority capable of being drawn into this.

Hope there's no crowd trouble from the England fans, like the FA Cup semi final yesterday.

There were West Ham, Chelsea and Sousers in with the Millwall section yesterday.

Wigan fans were attacked at random around the ground.

I've serious concerns about our game there, as these yobs had no interest in the game.

ArdeeBhoy

Do you have any proof of this? 'Wall quite capable of fighting anyone, including themselves...
And attacking Wigan?

Though we're right to be concerned if their fascists target this game.

I was at the game and saw it first hand.

Ok, fair enough. But not all of what you say rings true.

Be interesting, up to a point, what the official reports say.

Perhaps Doc should have been concentrating on his game.

That was awfully irresponsible of him to play 85 minutes with a foot injury in a vital FA Cup semi-final. My previously positive opinion of SSL has now been shattered, shattered utterly. Shades of Jase the Ace vs Cameroon.

Well Chazza, your statement shows just how little you know about professional football.
Managers ask players to play on through injury all the time.

I know my footie, you obviously don't!

In Trap we must trust.

I recall in 2004, Italy giving Roberto Baggio a full international for himself in tribute to his services to the Azzurri.... think he was like 37 at the time, hadn't played for Italy previously for 4 years or something and was going to retire from football afterwards...

I say this because considering how "into" Beckham the English are you'd have thought some FA big-wig would demand an international sendoff in an end of season friendly like this one?

As long as McGeady doesn't get sent off, the terror threat at the game should be a low grade blue.

Though the odd Irish fan with their man bag could well be a soft target.

Scousers don't show up at Millwall games and Millwall don't show up at Scouse games ?

OR

Scousers don't show up at Liverpool or Everton games and Milwall don't show up at the New Den ?

AB's answers only add to any confusion. Sensible posters don't try to analyse. Just assume and move on.

Hmm, some people on here are very slow today.

In general, neither group have a massive presence at 'Ingerland' games...
'Wall would be more prevalent, but both's agenda lies elsewhere.

The group that attacked the Black Lion pub on Kilburn High Road pre the 91 game all associated with Birmingham City. A couple of hundred of them came out of the Bakerloo line station just off the high road and attacked a couple of pubs but the main attack was on the Black Lion. They got cornered up at the other end of Kilburn High Road (Waterloo line station?) mostly by old Irish day labourers and London/Irish heavies. Very few Irish football fans on the High Road that day.

The Black Lion is now a very trendy gastro pub. It has left its Irish heritage behind, as have quite a few of the pubs on that stretch. The Sir Colin Campbell is one of the few which is still a relic from an earlier time. Cricklewood is less modernised, although the old Crown Hotel has been spruced up no end and is a very successful business class hotel, run by the Moran people, of Red Cow Inn fame.

Nice to see Quinn get the nod. He won Hull's player of the year too. Making a belated return to the Premiership will be a tonic. Hull will be an intriguing side to follow next season. Seeing how Brady fares in the Premiership and the level he's really at and how Meyler looks on a continuous basis in the centre of the park will be interesting stuff.

Haven't seen much of Quinn. Like Alan, he's not the paciest though?
