Will probably go along to this, will there only be neutral stand tickets up for sale?
Yep if you check ticketmaster's map of the Aviva you will be able to see the neutrals.

Is there drink available on the premium level?
There seems to be only about 3 sections available on ticket master for the premium level so just want to make sure we can have a few pints if we spend the extra 10euro.

There's a bar, but you can't bring your pints into the stand.

You can watch the game with a pint, from behind 'the French windows'...

Derry 3/1 - is there value in that considering how they finished the season?
Absolutely, that looks a decent bet.

Hoping to watch this from across the water and no doubt this won't be streamed outside the Island of Ireland or indeed on RTE Player outside Ireland.
I wonder if anyone knows a stream available. Looking forward to this one.

Supposedly on worldwide streaming, according to RTE site: http://www.rte.ie/live/
God knows though. Bricking it.

May the best team on the day win.
May the refereeing be better than last year.
May it not go to penalties.

Im thinking big, and steel maybe.
Terrible game so far.
Derry have shown no intention of trying to create anything. Pats definitely not up to the standard they have shown this season.

At least there's been a vast improvement between the last Derry-Pat's final and this one in the weather...

That was a super free-kick for Pat's, but a terrific response from Derry. Great header from Greacan. Things more lively now.

Argh, my bloody stream went off and came back on with Derry leading 2-1. Won't complain about the scoreline though. :)

was half thinking of putting money on derry.. perhaps i should have
Can forgive you for not backing Derry but if you had put money on FAI Cup flakes, St. Pats, I'd have questioned your sanity... :) ;)

Extra-time again then. Second half has been much better.

Excellent second half. Would like to see Pats break their cup curse. Think it will be difficult for Derry to lift themselves having let the lead slip so late on.

Great second half.
Derry should be home and hosed. They were carving Pats open after they took the lead.
In the end 2-2 is fair enough.
But for the love of god, my stomach and my knees let it not go to penalties.
patrickccfc
04/11/2012, 4:39 PM
as to be expected the intensity has dropped.. think it has penos written all over it imo

DannyInvincible

Criminal. Didn't he realise he's be offside during that whole run up the field unless he got back behind the ball?

04/11/2012, 5:13 PM
Great final. Happy for Derry, quality team, worked hard after going behind. I felt sorrier for Pats until I saw that dive.
Edit: When was the last time everything - League, FAI Cup, League Cup, Setanta Cup, First Division - was won by non-Dublin teams?
Edit 2: Actually was only 5 years ago.

Cracking game, after a terrible first half. Slightly disappointed by that crowd figure too. Surely 20,000 should be an achievable target for the cup final.
