Now they are saying they WANT Peyton to play this week if his foot holds up...I hope he plays and throws picks! Jets O line is going to stuff/maybe knock out Brady... then it's playoff city.

Hightower walking wounded at Pats?

First is he injured (planning on playing him in the Championship game this weekend) and second I hope he is still with the Saints?

In 2 games dude! Yeah, I trust him over Eddie Lacy tbh. RB has been a nightmare position this year throughout fantasyland. Also drafted Luck. Luckily for a PPR league I know my WRs and I played the waiver wire like a champ.

QB: Bortles (Fitzpatrick)
RB: Hightower, West (C. Michael, Lacy, Ka. Williams) (could start Williams instead of Charcandrick West)
WR: Hopkins, Robinson, Bryant/Landry (haven't decided on my WR3)
TE: Gates (Thomas)
K: Gano
DST: Seahawks

He should win though...

QB: Brady,
RB: Joique Bell, David Johnson (Yeldon)
WR: Julio Jones, Odell(lol), Lockett (Floyd, James Jones, Moncrief)
TE: Delanie Walker (Witten)
K: Santos,
DST: Panthers (Cards)

Im taking the Jets +3.5. There are some big spreads this week. 13 pts in an nfl game. 12, 11.

Patriots have Edelman, Amendola, Chandler, Chung, Ebner, Hightower, Kline, LaFell and McCourty all either questionable or doubtful!!!! I'd be finding out how many of them are going for play before I'd be having a bet.

The line might be about right. The Patriots will be all out to get a food performance and wrap up the 1 seed. The Jets simply must win. A cracker in prospect.

I still can't believe Belicheat didn't want to the ball to start OT....not his best day.

Jets can are making some noise with all those wideouts they have. Enuwa is pretty good.

Pats are going in the wrong direction particularly with problems on both lines. I really think they are done. Jets Cards super bowl?
It's a changing of the guard at QB playoffs wise...No Flacco, Luck, Ben, Brees, Eli. And then who knows with Dalton and Peyton.
BUT you get Fitz, Smith. Whoever is the Houston QB these days. Teddy Bridgewater. Oh and Aaron Rodgers stinks all of a sudden.
Do you realize you can make a case for Fitz as MVP? What would he finish, third behind Cam and Carson? That's bang for your buck there.

From the world of weird scheduling quirks...in this meaningless game for the Giants and Eagles on Sunday...if the Giants WIN they go to Seattle next year (a sure loss)...if they LOSE they go to London to play the Rams (probable win.)

can you imagine 8 or 10 weeks ago thinking the Skins and Packers are playing in the playoffs and the QB advantage may be to Washington? Madness!

who the heck are the Giants going to hire now that Tom stepped down?

I wonder if all 4 road teams will win this weekend.

Let’s not lose the run of ourselves now with statements like that. GB’s problem is the same as New England in that they can’t protect their star man. That is the issue rather than Rodgers being in any way on a downward spiral. Washington have done well – but I still can’t see them beating the Packers. The Packers took one look at the Seattle / Arizona game on Sunday and said – F**K that – we’ll take our chances in Washington – Vikings are on a hiding to nothing against Seattle – and I’m taking whatever that spread is! Seattle didn’t just batter any old team on Sunday – it is very hard to look past them now.

Well, I agree of course about Rodgers I mean he literally got hit one way or the other 20-25 times the other night, but its fair to say that is all part of being an NFL QB. Its more that Cousins finally looks like the player he was at Mich St. I don't feel any magic left in Rodgers this year...I have no love for Wash but they are peaking at the right time.

SEA is everyone's hot pick but don't forget they will be on the road with no noise advantage...Lynch worked out yesterday so who knows with him...I mean they are favored. All the road teams are except GB and that is basically a pick em. Chiefs -3, Pitt -2.5, Sea -5.

The proposed rain will help the Steelers. Big Ben publicly calling out his #2 receiver to toughen up. Don't forget the Steeler starting RT said all he wants for Xmas is to play the Bengals in the playoffs bc "They always choke". Should be interesting.

The Packers are being over bet by a public thinking it's the old Packers.

I think 3 of the 4 games are going to be blowouts or comfortably boring 14 point wins.

SEA at CAR: R Wilson isn't very good and I cant see how they score any points on the CAR D. SEA going far cross country to play a rested team is NOT a good look for them. Carolina Big.

Pack at Cards: What has changed since GB got blown out in Glendale a few weeks ago? Carson has never won a playoff game in 13 years. Cards Big.

Steelers at Broncos: Everyone and their mother is talking up Peytons career 11-12 post season record and 9 one and done's. But you know what? Pitt stinks, is a M*A*S*H* unit, has an absolute Clown for a coach (how do they win with that guy?), are a dirty team (yes the Bengals weren't the only dirty team the other night) and have a terrible secondary. Manning dinks and dunks to an easy win.

KC at NE. this is the one. I admit if Maclin doesn't play its going to be hard for KC. And of course you never count out the Billy and Tommy show. But I think KC grinds out a win. Maybe last second FG.

Forget last Sunday - playing in those conditions is majorly difficult. This will be close. Seattle have the capacity to shut down the so called weapons in the Panther Offence. Hard to call either way.

Pack at Cards: What has changed since GB got blown out in Glendale a few weeks ago? Carson has never won a playoff game in 13 years. Cards Big.

Yes, but the Packers played well on Sunday - don't write them off but I agree, Cards to win.

If Big Ben was reasonably fit - i'd nearly pick the steelers. Steelers beat the Broncos but 4 weeks ago. Manning has played half a game against a crap Chargers team and he is going to lead them to an AFC title? I just don't see it. Kubiak is 2-2 in the playoffs - do people see him as a good coach? Broncos are 1 Manning pick away from disarray. This is 50-50 for me.

I think the Pats game...what's with Bills black eye above his eye? Some theories: Playing catch with fully inflated balls, caught spying on cheerleaders shower, etc...

I really think Ben isn't going to play. If he does he will be at a very low % of health. He has two bad injuries. I would actually start Michael Vick over Landry Jones.

Wonder if the Cam Newton personal life rumors bother him at all. Some people seem bothered by that, some don't. its out of the bag though.

So that leaves the AFC Championship Game.
Patriots v Broncos

Patriots are 3 point favorites - which I find plenty strange given 1 half decent performance last week against the Chiefs - If the Broncos can keep Brady and co. off the field for a reasonable amount of time when they have a chance but can they put points on the board themselves will be the question. I'm much more relaxed as Patriots fan this season as opposed to last year in the playoffs - there was huge pressure last year to finish the job after a decade of failure. So whatever will be will be but I think the Pats win by a TD, but i'd be keeping my money in my pocket!

Thinking back to the game last night - people that don't take much interest in American football are definitely missing out in what can be a highly dramatic sport. The whole game last night was full of sporting tension.

And it showed the critical nature of special teams - all 3 of the 4 TD's were scored off short field position, showing how important punting and kicking still is in the modern game. A missed PAT so early in the game proved to be the pivotal moment. Every play counts. Remarkable.

Only watched the first half of Panthers / Cardinals but people will be very quick to dismiss the Broncos chances in the Superbowl - if Denver can do what they did last night in shutting down the likes of Brady / Edelman / Gronk for long spells then they will be more than capable of doing something similar to Newton, Olsen et al and will be highly motivated to avoid what happened two years ago.

Crosby87

Panthers are 4.5 point favorites right now. Will be interesting to see where that lands.

Bill had a very odd game yesterday and some odd games coaching wise this year. Not going for the FG was just bizarre. He met with the media by 9AM in Boston...im telling you, that man does not sleep. Kept saying "We are already getting started on next season." OK Bill. Give it a rest. His schtick is getting old.

Von Miller has turned into L.T.

Good call Real Madrid, you were right, I was so wrong on that one. Made it up with Carolina though. I turned that off at halftime. Cards looked lost.

I had thought that if our D turned up and floored Tom early we would do it. Though I would have preferred a 4th down attempt at the end just to eat up more time than a punt would. Especially as we missed some tackles anyway. Blessed all the same. And what a game of Football it was. In a season loaded with classics and dramatic finishes it was quite something.
