I'd settle for other similarities with Arsenal too. Like the type and quality of football that we play.
19 Premiership teams dream of the same thing :D
I'd settle for the old Arsenal with "1-0 to the Irish" being sung after every game...

I'd settle for their front 2!

I have to say I like both the new crest and the new site.
The shamrock is there, the football is there and the tri-colour is there, I think it all works.
You have to admit that the old site was pretty naff, the new one is easier on the eye and a lot easier to read.
However, the kit is not good. Of all the shades of green they did manage to pick a particular horrible one and the eircom logo splattered across the front is far too big. eircom must have paid big for that one!

For some reason unknown to me, everytime I see the new shirt, I can't help but think of John Sheridan...

Ahh don't worry. I've gotten the 2002 WC and last shirts from some guy in Thailand on ebay for half the cost. Without the Eircom logo. I also purchased an official shirt too around the WC for the wife and I've checked and checked and I cannot see any difference besides the logo.

I think the shade of green in that photo is more to do with the bad lighting and photography. I'll wait untill we see the shirt for real, but first impressions are good. Plain green with no messing, except for the disgusting huge eircom logo of course, which means I won't be buying the shirt again. But at least the team will look good on tv.

Can only see small pics of the kit but it looks like a considerable improvment on the old one. I don't like it when I see "Celti(c)fication" of the Irish team (no offence intended to celtic fans) and it's support so I'm glad the hoops are gone. I'm all for a flat green with white roundneck and white cuffs (which I know people will say is V retro but they look much classier) and absolutley no fannying about with stripes, hoops, chevrons, navy bits or anything else to make them appeal to the chavs, spides, knacks, dobbers, whas, french canadians or whatever they call them in your neck of the woods.
Agree with robinski about the colour though -why can't these guys pick a shade of green that hasn't had a 5L tin of turquoise tipped into it ffs?

I really love the new site, because of the videos! Now, I can watch the goals! It's great! And I don't see any other important changes. The jersey changed but I don't know if it's looking better now.
