Very suprised Dermot took the job knowing he was third choice, i think if the club wanted him he would have been asked first not third, up to last thursday the job was o donnells if he wanted it best of luck to him and the new committee in Fairview.

Maybe he'll sign a few of them, who knows, was the st michaels lads playing again this year??

the lads from st.micheals,as you put it,were in poland for the euro's.
ray lonergan is one of them, who played four seasons with fairview,in the 80's.

Where did I say he went back for money???what I said was he doesn't manage for nothing to which he is quiet right because it can be very expensive, and I know Dermot a lot more than you think, and good luck to him, you're always on the defensive for some reason or other and apparently you have nothing at all got to do with fairview,so stop talking balderdash for a change.
check your post. dermot finnin(your spelling) does not manage without $$$$.
lastly,i have a lot more got to with fairview then you have with the club you support.
i will leave at that.

He has joined Granville as John O'Neills assistant afaik, and will be a good addition to them, he will be a big loss to Star on and off the field and you are correct in saying he also played for Balla (think he was with Balla when they last won the league if memory serves me right, when they beat Pike 0-2 up in the Pike field with 2 Jamie O'Sullivan goals)

Well lads, I know it's completely off topic but seeing this is the forum with a lot of Fairview interest I was just wondering....

Reading the Times from Australia and there's an article about the bomb squad being called out to the Ballysimon area yesterday. It has a map that is set onto the Fairgreen. I assume the devices were found in the waste land beside the car park and didn't cause any damage to the facilities?

Again, off topic I know, but was just wondering could anyone shed some light on it!

2 1 they won,Pike only needed a draw that day.Agree bout Brian will be a good addition to them and a huge loss to Star.

it was a pipe bomb apparently, found in a waste area in between houses in granville.
did not even know the place existed.
the houses around the area were evacuated until the place was cleared.
it was near the club as such

He also managed Shelbourne when they were in 1A or 1B, he was also involved with Castle Rovers.

Genuinely nice bloke and has an indepth knowledge of the game.

and led a very average LIT team to All Ireland success in the College's final in 2005/06
