Ability to post still not working (as per the worm's screenshot earlier), but the overall look of the forum is back to something somewhat normal

No change, cleared cache, hard refreshed, and everything (looks the exact same as the other one as well)

IE9 is the devil. Slow, clunky, stupid. I've just spent the last solid four days working on a website for work (on my feckin holidays) and IE was the cause of a lot of the trouble. That and dodgy php, incomplete back up restore and my own incompetence. I hate websites. Maybe this should be in the say anything thread.

I'll have to report it as a bug, it's not anything I can track down.

Obviously that is what I am doing, but there are some people who either don't have the technological ability (I assume thats not the case in most cases) to to do it or, more likely, are on work computers where they cannot install anything and thus cannot use another browser.
thats it Worm. I browse FF at home so i can post but at work its IE and so i cant post anything as i cant install FF or Chrome without permission...
Do some work so.
youre not the boss of me!
Aye, youd be feckin sacked! :D

Still no joy in ie for me, unfortunately.

Ok. There's a new version coming in a week or so, I'll come back to it then.

A new version of IE? Fycking waste of time - I had IE9 refuse to accept instructions from a completely W3 -compliant stylesheet today. Never had this problem before. Ask my ringpiece, Microsoft.

I'd imagine most IE users are on work/college/shared PCs
Still having the same problems myself BTW, but glad to have the mobile skin back

spent three hours today trying to fix a HTML table where one row is 2 pixels bigger than every other row, that appears perfectly in every other browser in creation
So help me God, if I ever get in the same room as the engineers who designed the rendering engine for IE, I'll beat them until I start to lose the feeling in my hands.

Dammit Janet, there's something seriously wrong here.
I've deleted and disabled everything I possibly could on the new version now, could ye please log out, clear cache, cookies and restart, and try again.

No-one?
Sorry - wasn't in the office, so on mobile anyway until this morning. Logged Out, Ctrl F5'd, Shut down IE, went back in and went back in and still no joy with IE8. If it matters, boards.ie and politics.ie which I think are also vbulletin based are fine.

Thanks Macy.
It probably doesn't matter, but on a really out of date machine here, and it's not working in IE7 either.

vBulletin are trying to track this problem down but they can't replicate it, and I still can't. Can any of ye experiencing the problem think of anything that might be different in yere locations? Where are ye posting from? Is there a corporate/college firewall or proxy in the way? Are ye running ad blockers?
Some of ye have been able to post from other locations, what's different in that case?
Have any of ye any noticed any error prompts or icons on your browsers?

Posting from Chicago, not college internet (Comcast). I have been on 2-3 other forums that have vBulletin as well and am not having any issues anywhere else. Not running anything other than Microsoft Security Essentials that might get in the way. Still using IE8 on Windows 7 the computer is about 4 years old. Its not just this computer as I also have tried on one that is 8 years old on IE6 where it also doesn't work.

I just use Firefox

No.
At work it's through a proxy, but it's the same at home in ie8 (haven't bothered with an update as i use firefox). Sav10 is what i use at home, not sure on work. i don't use an ad blocker at home or work.

Same as this on all counts.
In work using IE8 on Windows XP. Same problems as the others have listed
Standard firewalls etc. no problems with other vbulletin sites

I just tried on IE8 out of curiosity (first time I've used it I think) and I have the same greyed out reply box problem. Safely back on firefox now.
On Windows XP, no ad blocker, proxy or anything else unusual that I know of.
Posting this on IE8 on Win 7 Enterprise from behind HP Proxy and Firewall.
All I notice is that the emoticons are not working in advanced reply.

IE 9 on Win 7 Home Premium. No proxy or firewall. Still don't see the smilies :)
The post icons are all there but the foot.ie/last one.
