Watched a bit of the prospect game v dromore and dromore have a handy couple of new lads this year the ger and nick oconnell from clare have joined them. But from what i saw prospect had alot of chances and sould have got something out of the game... did dromore end up with 9 players? or did someone get injured.

Saw a bit of a prospect match and aidan struggled big time and went off early with injury.all im saying is he had a good career and its time to leave it before he gets a serious injury.surely prospect can fill the gap with a youngster.he is surely 45.

Aidan isnt the manager but his a vital part of the squad we have some fine players at the club and hopefully with a win thursday we can go into moyross sunday full of confidence
Aidan ryan is still playing? he is in good nick but surly gone a passed it.
Jesus Guys give Aidan Ryan a break ... MORE POWER to him for playing no matter what age, if he feels upto it then he has every right to put himself forward for selection, its only junior football, not english premier league.

He is not back long from a broken leg. FairPlay to him for carrying on. Plenty of older lads playing down in the lower divisions which is where I think Aidan would probably be great with a lot of younger lads playing down there. A guy playing with Murroe B (up to last season anyway) was playing at around 55 I think he is.

watched the prospect game and its the first time i seen them with a full squad and it showed they played some fantastic football and well deserved their win and only for a few outstanding saves from hospital keeper it could of being a lot more massive game sunday for prospect this early in the season a win would through them back in the mix but it should be a tough game and a good one two watch....

Its early in the season... no one is out of the race even if they loose a couple, if prospect were to loose it doesnt mean there out of it this early... only 5 games played and 17 more to go..... the promotion race will go till the very end.....

If Janesboro can get their full team out week in week out they will go a long way..
Going to be a very tight league with a lot of teams taking points off each other.

These Sunday mornings def dont seem to suit Prospect.Do they struggle to get all their players out?
Saying that,Moyross must be very strong. Its def shaping up like its themselves and Athlunkard for the league with god knows who chasing them!

i was at this game today and moyross were very good saying that the marking for the goals was terrible first 4 anyway johnny corbett 2 free headers and a soft pen in first half to be honest prospect had most of there team there roche fitz colbert bruno quinn think they had 3 subs aswell moyross tore them apart and no excuse can be given other than very poor performance from prospect moyross to win the league at a canter for me

Not sure what kind of team they fielded against Moyross but there is no way that the 11 players on show tonight would lose 9-1 to anyone in this league, they held onto the ball very well and always looked dangerous going forward. Villa got back into the game second half but Prospect deserved their win

Was at the match tonight it was a great chance for Athlunkard to pull away with Moyross but Prospect deserved their win.
Most of that Prospect team were only young lads the football they played was very good as was Athlunkards but as the second half went on you could see Prospect wanted it more. Someone said in an earlier post that Aidan Ryan and Gerry McMahon werent at the Moyross match Sunday well both of them were there tonight.

We Athlunkard didnt get going at all. we got back in it early in the 2nd half but in the last 20 mins prospect held on well and you could see that every player put in alot of effort for each other. I would say that they gave up against moyross once they knew they couldnt get anything out of the game and the score got out of hand, also would say a few turned up hungover???.... prospect wanted it more than us last night and got a deserved 3 points. phil cla to come back in after missing 5 games should give us a better hold of the ball in midfield, thought last night we didnt get it down and play, until 2nd half, roy/cla do that job and they were both out. long season ahead and lots of twist's to come. Best of luck to prospect, look forward to the return game!!!!

Prospect hammered again this morning. I personally think that it is totally unfair to all of the other teams in the division that they are not taking the league seriously. At the end of every season certain teams are promoted and others relegated, but that should all be based on the fact that everyone has performed to the best of their ability. Unfortunately both promotions and relegations are likely to be decided this year by the games that Prospect just decide not to bother trying to win

I think your being a bit unfair with your comment as far as I know a lot of the lads were at a wedding yesterday but having said that surely the A manager should have known players were going to be missing and got some of the B players to turn up.
Then again a lot of that B team were A players last year and wont turn up Sunday morning thats why they were relegated.

I'm not 100% sure but think I'm right in saying that the 4 games they won were midweek and the 4 losses were weekend. If you cannot field a team on Sunday mornings then you shouldn't enter a league to begin with. I'll use today's result as an example, say Murroe avoid relegation at the end of the season by 1 point. I just do not think it is fair to the team that would finish just below them as, with no disrespect to Murroe, but the prospect team that beat Athlunkard on Thursday night would have easily won this morning. That is just my opinion. I know many won't agree with it but that's what these forums are all about...

Absolutely not sour grapes, prospect deserved their win against villa and it is a long season where given how close many teams are, lots of games will be won and lost. My issue is just that both the league and teams in it deserve a little more respect. P.C. Has been away on holidays and due back this week, not the same thing at all.
