After the howler that the Newcastle keeper made last weekend at home to Fulham, Im not surprised they are on the look out. But they do have Harper on their books as well?

We should start some sort of rumour for deadline day, see if the English papers pick up on it. Involving an Italian club is always a clever one with the Trap connection. Gibson to Fiorentina maybe?

The BBC seem to be reporting anything and everything anyone tweets or texts to them. But yeah, my mate's waiting in departures in Florence airport at the minute to come back from his holidays and just saw Gibson arrive on and step off the plane he's about to board... This one has wings.

Apparently Real Betis are actually interested in Gibson. (http://twitter.com/#!/TheAgentSource)

He's been linked with a few others:

Mark Irving whose brother is on the medial staff at West Ham [citation needed] says Darron Gibson is going there to replace Scott Parker

Schalke will make a loan offer for Manchester United midfielder Darron Gibson (thanks Ken Williams)

Man Utd's Darron Gibson but he will join Aston Villa in January, once recovered from ankle injury.

Newcastle are believed to be interested, and a loan move may be a compromise if Gibson is unwilling to totally give up on his United dream just yet.

There's this from RTÉ:

Ghostie (via e-mail): "He has it on very good authority that a deal is about to be struck for none other than Manchester United's Darren Gibson. A move, ironically suggested by a Mr. Trapattoni several seasons ago!"

Interesting.

The rest of that RTÉ post indicates that he's stokebound.

Not a rumour, more an observation. Wolves are looking to sign Gary Hooper - is it conceivable Doyle is on the move? Surely a medical can be done here, and well it's not hard to send a private jet or whirly thingy to Dublin.

I don't think it's unusual for clubs who have survived in the EPL to gradually build bigger squads. Stoke is a good example.

Rovers' Enda Steven to join Spurs in January?

There's a new left back for Ireland in February so :)

Any developments for Gibson? He really needs a move.

Terry Dixon on trial at Bradford, scored the winner for their reserve team against Rotherham's reserve team.

Bradford deal was done yesterday (http://www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk/page/News/0,,10266%7E2436956,00.html) and Terry signed with them. However, today, he has been loaned to Blue Square club Halifax Town (http://www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk/page/News/0,,10266%7E2437602,00.html) for a month to get match fitness. The football business is getting very strange....

So no move for him. Is it because of the injury? All he can hope for now is a loan to a championship club.
