It looked so promising at the start of the year. Certainly that ye where going to be a big tough physical team that would be hard to beat. Didn't see those results coming for ye I must say. A few on here where saying the current team where better than the one that got ye promoted. It doesn't look like it at the moment but I'm sure it will be sorted up there and ye will start to pick up a few points.
We were absolutely shocking last night. Easy 3 points for Longford on Friday night.

The league is decided over 36 games. We can't win them all. So it's important that the ones you don't win, you don't lose either. With MON's tactics, we won't lose very many.
That is correct, he is a cautious manager but I do believe he tries to win every game. On Friday O'Neill started off with two holding midfielders (Rice and McCormack) to nulify the threat of Bohs on the counter attack. However midway through the second half he took Rice (defensive midfielder) off and replaced him with McCabe (attacking midfielder) in an effort to WIN the game, therefore your theory that he was playing for a point is incorrect.

I certainly hope so or the club wont be in existence by summers end. I know that they are doing their best but they are stuck in a terrible cycle now, no confidence or belief throughout the team.

You could also argue that by setting himself up so defensively from the start, he was coming for a point and that he had to change things to try and salvage a point when circumstances changed after going behind.
I thought as I heard the team announced, that it was a good team selection from Bohs' point of view.

McCabe came on 10 minutes before Bohs scored so bringing him on was an effort to win the game rather than salvage a point.

Bear in mind the team against Bohs was exactly the same 11 that comfortably beat Sligo at the Showgrounds a few days earlier. We didn't play well but much of that has to be put down to Bohs playing well and not allowing the midfield the space to get a passing game going. I thought Finn in particular found it difficult to get into the game. I'd have had McCabe on from the start instead of McCormack anyway but I suppose I was proven wrong on that.

Fair point.

Takes the bookies 9/5 and earn yourself a handy few quid.
In Athlone we had 5 players playing out of position, Im now convinced that Kevin McHugh will be playing in nets on Fri with our keeper going up front, Our left back going right mid and second striker going in at right back.
Maradonna wouldn't even try the kind of crazy sh!t that's going on at Harps lately. I'm bringing the boots in case they need a slow crap left footed centre back to play right wing for the night.

Was O'Grady centre back on Tuesday Sam? How'd he get on?

No centre mid.
He was solid enough, it was probably more a game for more all out attacking players.
He was outstanding against Cork though.

I can confirm O'Grady was you're best player at the cross the other night. He seemed to be a good half a second ahead of teamates in his thinking and he could link up well with the short pacy lad (mcmenamin?) - but this will come with time. From what I've seen of o'grady (also when with sligo) he could quite easily play for a decent premier outfit - but he seems like a lad who wants to live in a set geographical area?

He should still be playing for us, great squad player to have, always gave his all.

Steady on, there's a flaw in your theory. That bloke has 8 kids. Surely there's no way any man would have the time to generate and raise in his likeness that number of offspring, worship non-stop at the Hoopy Shrine, and write over 4,000 posts?
Course, the flaw in my theory is that 8 kids would drive any man nuts, and to t'internet to seek sanctuary.

I think the Pats fan is real. What must it be like to look out on the world through the 'mind' of a man capable of answering 'yer man in the green and white shirt' to the question 'Who's your favourite Pats player?' Being John Malkovich' remake time. 'Being Pats Junkie' I'd queue up for that.
