The new international format of Friday-Tuesday games is good for the Airtricity League. They'll have to exploit it more with Tuesday/Wednesday games before the Friday, then Saturday/Sunday games followed by Wednesday/Thursday/Friday games. The gaps are there with little rivals on those days and should be used to the max to promote the league.

Here's hoping for plenty of promotion of Saturday and Sunday's games during this evening's international match!

It matters as much as Dundalk or UCD really. Indeed probably the best performance of the three.

Saturday..Saturday really matters.

I guess you're really, really sick then? Unless this doesn't matter either?

Not at all - sure we all know the game on Tuesday was what really really mattered.

We've had play-offs before. This was in a time before goal difference wa recognised, as I recall. Had it been recognised, Cork would have won. Instead, after a double play-off and four extra games each, Shels won.

Dublin bias? Never!

Wrong. Bohs would have won it on goal difference.

ět will be great comin back to drogheda next season we havent met them since the 2007 season... commiserartions to the drogs fans.. like us drogs had eight seasons on the bounce in the top flight and then they declined rapidly within three seasons after winning their last trophy like us

I recall a Drogs fan coming on the Forza website a couple of years ago saying how Boco was a great player and talking about how they would lure him away as they could offer him more money and to play football in the Champs league.
I wonder where that toss pot is now?
Better off keeping shtum with talk like that when you have a bit of success in this league.

I can't believe the way it has changed at the top. Boh's have done great to cut the lead and get ahead of Rovers, will they be able to stay there now?

Nah Nah Nah Nah

They're not down yet. There's still a very, very small chance of them finishing ahead of Bray

It has been a crazy last 10-15 years for Drogheda, promotion/relegation followed by more promotion/relegation, finally stabilising in the premier division, winning the FAI Cup, Setanta Cups and importantly the league. Almost knocking out Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League, examinership followed soon later, fans rallying to save the club and duly succeed. As a result the team has struggled on the pitch.

But we'll be back ;)

Ye were terribly unlucky not to have knocked out Kiev, it was a terrible miss at the end of the game. I'm sure ye'll bounce back from Division One but it is a tough division.

What did that poster that you kindly put up in Dundalk a few years ago say?

"You ain't seen nothin' yet". You weren't lying.

Supporting Drogheda United must be like being on a rollercoaster 24-7.
