Ya massive weekend at the top, top 4 playing each other, noone can afford to lose points at this stage of the season. The promotion spots are too tight to call, one slip up and that could be it...

Going from memory from the radio report yesterday, the Moyross match was off, Murroe beat Mungret and Caherconlish beat St. Pauls. Not 100% on the last two but I presume it's the Moyross one you're interested in.

From what I understand,Moyross received a walkover from Trinity.

Shortstop
08/03/2010, 11:46 AM
Ya it was thanks for that Edgey :D a walkover over at this stage of the season is a joke especially when trinity were in the running for promotion, anybody know why they gave the walkover?

you won't find out untill tomorrow nite and its a joke away teams have to ring ldmc on saturday to make sure their matchs go ahead especially teams chasing promotion like trinity, moyross, lisnagry, shannon.no excuses moyross should be giving the points and trinity fined for what they did especially the top of the table is tight in div 4a

Nothing new for Trinity I believe. Around the start of this thread it said they finished well up 3B last year and were relegated because of the amount of walkovers they gave. Probably the GAA starting to kick in again.

Ya they gave three walkovers last season and also in the season before that. They also have a lot of games called off for one reason or another. The LDMC keep giving them a chance to stay in the league, which is ridiculous as they haven't finished a league season 2 maybe even 3 years in a row. They won the 3B Cup last year and where kicked out of the league a few weeks later which i thought was unfair on Killmallock who fulfilled every fixture last year and where denied the Cup by a team who really didn't care about playing soccer.

Quick question just noticed Couple of teams have played 17 games Does that leave them one game left in season, bit early to be finishing don't ya think.

ya great result for moyross ,if shannon draw one match and lose one and moyross win their last match it'll be a play off between moyross vs shannon from what i was told today

We only have 1 match left..if we draw the last one, lisnagry win their last 2 and moyross win their last one 3 teams will have 39 points, what will happen then?

BigfeetBigsocks
15/03/2010, 7:02 AM
Tough one best way would be to have round robin playoff to determine winner as all teams play two games, or they might just do draw where one team goes to final playoff and the other two have game to reach playoff final

who is your last game against and if you win it you cannot be caught by either lisnagry or moyross is that correct :ball:

If they win it might not be the league, heard there is some sort of objection about lisnary v trinity match.

old git
18/03/2010, 2:14 PM
there is a objection lodged, cos trinity wouldn't travel to moyross which resulted in a walkover and fielded a strong team against lisnagry(who have a memeber on the ldmc),it will be a interesting weekend if shannon draw, moyross win and lisnagry win it'll end up with a three way playoff in jackman park

so objection by lisnagry to trinity giving a walkover against moyross  that is really clutching at straws now by lisnagry ....

old git
20/03/2010, 5:27 PM
thats all their good at but they are arguing that other teams have no problems going out to moyross and them selfs ,why couldn't trinity and thats what they are saying,

sure all trinty have to say is they could not field a team for this game .. hard to see any other reasons for them not travelling to play moyross as they were still in contention for league/ promotion.. how can league prove anything otherwise :ball:

old git

moyross won tonight 2-1

how come match switched fixture for 2.30pm tomorrow .???? jesus does this mean lisnagry will appeal this also :D:D

squire
20/03/2010, 9:39 PM
their objection against trinity is that trinity had a illegal player playing last week and his name is on the match card just been informed, and the away them wanted to play moyross today at 2.30 instead of tomorrow and moyross agreed

Why would Trinity play an illegal player and then put his name on the match card?

Jofspring

Not the first time something like that would have happened in junior soccer.

Trigger
20/03/2010, 11:31 PM
True , some teams have played illegal players, but why would the LDMC listen to this when Shannon lodged an appeal over the cup against St Pauls over the same thing.
