Now that it is over.
The irony of being able to watch the second leg of this game, from Albania, when the national broadcaster didn't carry the first leg(or the Pats or Derry games).
Supposedly we are one of the most developed countries in European and yet the Albanians can manage to stream their games.

Sligo must have had 70% possession and about twenty shots in the game. In fact, I think it's arguably the best away leg performance I've ever seen by a LoI club.

Sleego had so many chances to win that game, huge opportunity lost there.

It's a disgrace. RTÉ need to have a long hard think about what public service broadcasting means, and how it should best be implemented.

Yeah but Gretna were ****e... :D
BTW in the game to decide our oppenents, Valetta scored jsut before half time to make it 0-1 on the night, and give them a 4 goal aggregate lead
Looks likely to be Pats v Valletta on July 16, and the return in malta on July 23rd
Plenty of Pats fans already booked

I agree with Betting man , Sligo throw it away in the first leg ( but did have a large slice of bad luck).
Very good performance tonight .....................but goals win games.
RTE and Irish Communications infrasture in general is terrible, thats many down to the Government........................i don't think we'll go there.

Yep! Lisburn lost 6-0 too. The IL sides really are a disgrace, UEFA should seriously consider suspending their participation.

I think it was streamed by a fella up in Sligo "sligofella", who had the supersport Albanian digital channel which some pubs have, but at least they had it on the television i suppose and i hear ya regarding the broadband.
Sligo had the chances in the first half, i thought the second half Vllaznia sat back and soaked up the pressure until the sending off. That sub keeper Vllaznia had was ****ing useless as well so it really was a chance missed.

Sorry to be a technical ****, we can all stream our games the infrastructure is there. There is no reason why any club in ireland could not stream HD (1920x1080) quality games via the internet other than reducing attendances but a location block could be enabled providing ISPs were warm to the idea to avoid that........oddly something i have offered to my club for free for over 2 years now ........
Sligo got beat by a poor team and only have themselves to blame, we will prolly lose too but i doubt Valleta are as bad as Vlaznia :o

Dunno about the technical stuff but Elfsborg streamed our game in Richmond Park last year. Decent quality too apparently

kdjaC, my point was clumsily made.
It was more in reference to the madness of being able to watch the second leg on Albanian TV, whereas our own State broadcaster has opted not to show any of the upcoming European ties.
