Good show. I was totally wrong to damn it in advance. Michael Nugent and Aidan Fitzmaurice were superb. Pity it's not available on the Setanta site.
Most telling point was the fact that it is possible to get investors to back a 10,000 seater stadium in a 40,000-population town in Norway.

BSG,
I was making that same point to a non-LOI fan today. All the rest of Walker's point are basically being covered anyway.
I reckon if each club had 4 investors coming in and putting in that spend on infrastructure the difference would be phenomenal.

Very true, but as Schumi mentions TV is closer than either, the fans there; one would think would rather look at the TV than go on hours drive to Waterford. Football is about communities against each other, in Ireland, that hardly exists, only in GAA is where that happens, that needs to happen, football has to somehow build up communities.
i think you cant beat live football, and as dodge said - if its on your doorstep then their is no excuse
i am from an area with no loi team - it doesnt stop me from following the loi:)
I thought the show was good in terms of getting the point across about the large number of Irish people heading off to England instead of following their local team.Really is shocking to be honest to see the "fans" of Premier league teams giving money to clubs that are already loaded and then a loi team within 10 miles of them struggles to maintain it's full time status.A lot of Irish people don't seem to bother about professional football in ireland.

Not shown on their listings anyway. Seems Weymouth vs Barrow has pushed it off the agenda....
Did anyone record it ?
