Just a few things i've found while browsing around

Bus From Dubrovnik (leaving 11:00) via Bar to Ulcinj (arrival 15:30), from there a cab to Shkoder via the border at Muriquan (10 Euro)

walked across the border (remember to bring 10 Euro. Europeans and US citizens have to pay to get in, and also to get out!), took another cab on the other side to Shkodra, and from there, a bus to Tirana. The cabs are expensive compared to the over all pricelevel (I think we paid about 20 euro per cab), but it is a fast way to get there.

he organised a bus in Dubrovnik to Podgorica for the Ireland game, so will probably have the Bus Company detailsJust got a quote from this bus crowd

We can arrange this at the rate of
minibus (max 16 people) ..............940 EUR cash.
bus (max 46 people)...................1260 EUR cash

Rules: no smoking and drinking alcohol in the bus.

If go to Ulcinj (Ulqin),there are a lot of minibus from/to Shkodra. Ulcinj is 60 minutes far from Shkodra. I think that cost about 5/10 euro.

Sligoman's idea of getting bus to game on Thursday and straight back after game is the best option in my opinion. Doest seem to be much to do in Shodkar. Would save having to book hotel for Thurs night too.

ThanksDepending on what time your flight would be in Dublin at, you could fly down to Sligo through www.aerarann.ie They only fly twice a day though. Otherwise there is a regular train service from Dublin to Sligo www.irishrail.ie or a bus service www.buseireann.ie If you drive, you could hire a car and drive down. The journey takes around 2 hours 30 minutes.

Was in AIB.
They can order croatian money and it will take 3 or 4 days, however Albanian money they wont be able to get.
Id prefer to be going with some than trying to exchange it over there and maybe geting ripped off.
Anybody know more?

Would we not be better staying in Shkoder one night after the game? Doubt many really wanna be rushing back to Dubrovnik after the game? Whats the rush?

From the phone calls and texts i've had, the main worry is:

The game will probably kick off maybe 9.30 local time. I'm not sure. The game finishes 11.30. We all head out, get hammered. Stay out till 3am, whatever. The majority of people are heading back on a flight, that's about 7.30 or so, so we'll have to at the airport round 5.30pm. The journey can take up to 6 hours from Shkoder to Dubrovnik, passport control...etc...etc. Means we'll have to be ready to go round 11am. Alot of people feel it's easier to go back to Dubrovnik that night, and have a day in the city that day, and then head for the airport around 5 or so. Plus, a killer hangover at 11am in baking heat , on a bus, ****ty roads...not so nice.

That's the thoughts of a few people so far. I have 21 people for the bus, if the general consensus changes, then we'll organise something else.

That sounds perfect. I wouldn't mind staying in Albania for a night only for the flights the next day, don't really want to rush or even worse miss them. Our flights are back to Liverpool and are earlier than the aer lingus flight back so we definitely need to be back in good time.

sorry guys - i really wanted to go but this is a logistical nightmare. Too much hassle for me, i hope i dont regret giving it a miss. Hoping to join ye in vienna, all going well.
Met all the players cookie and gerry carr at the races last night - they were having a few pints upstairs and seemed to be a great team spirit. Mind you , someone should tell alan cawley to f*** off and bond with his own team mates in st pats.

"It's a difficult draw for us. Even if a team is unknown, Sligo comes from a strong league, as he Irish. Maybe this time, luck was not with us, we shpresonim after falling on a team known and easier. However, this short does not have us derail humor, because every team is in such kompeticione, remains strong. I think after looking at some tapes videoje, will create a clear idea about the real strength Sligos,"

"Despite the opponent does not know and know only that belonging to a state that has a say in European football, it does not make us pessimistic for qualification. We have to make the maximum in the first meeting in Ireland. Then hope and believe in the return match in Shkoder. We have a good tradition and I think that will not prishim this year, to last at least the first round, " "With Rapidin will be a double pleasure"

If kuqeblutė will qualify, then the next round opponent will be as Rapidin Vienna, one of the biggest names of Austrian football. "In the first task to do well with our Sligon, then we will see who we will face. Would be another pleasure, as for us, for our tifozėrinė to kualifikoheshim and then luanim with Rapidin "

Managers comments:

Lika: "Our chance, the first match in their field"

Trainer of Vllaznisė, Hasan Lika, has spoken for "Sports Panorama" immediately after learning the first round opponent for the League of Europe. Lika admits no knowledge of the Irish team, Sligo Rovers, and states that anyone who's falling, it would be the same for Vllazninė. Pankinės kuqeblu leader did not hide that dreaming of a pėrballje with the Austrians Rapidit of Vienna, the second round.

Mr. Lika, will face the Irish with Sligo Rovers. How much knowledge do you have for this team?

For the sake of the truth do not recognize this team, but I believe that during these days will make the relevant information. Personally I do not have any preference for the lottery and I have seen all the teams equally possible that we may fall. However, the fact is that Irish football is more advanced than Albanian. The first in this regard, for we all are strong opponents.

The fact that the game will play in the first transfer, it helps to favor?

This is positive for us, but the key is to pick a good result in the first game, which will be hopeful for the return.

If you qualify, the second round gets to play with you Rapidin Vienna, a team known. The ėndėrroni this pėrballje?

It's early to talk, despite the desire we have. I hope to play well with Sligon, because in doing so, could kualifikohemi. This is the most important, but of course that dream Rapidin face.

Vllaznisė expected to join the two Brazilians. What guarantee you, they are really qualified?

State of these players will look at exercise. I hope they make the difference, although the Brazilians are not the first that come to Albania.

You couldn't be further from the truth. He had agreed to sign for Sligo but a deal didn't materialise. So rather than do nothing, he accepted an offer from Pats

Dodge is right. It was a mix up on Rovers' side that meant Alan would'nt sign. He's a decent player, but i don't think our fans were THAT disappointed when he didn't sign.
