Only 3 B team players allowed in a A team fixture. I think this is the leagues way of making sure the A teams sign 16 decent A players. Apparently a club signed a 62 old as a A team player last season:eek:

Was anything decided on div2 and div3 issue?

just wondering is there any rule in place that would prevent a club from going straight to a player in the mayo league in an attempt to sign them rather than asking for permission from the players club first?

i know for a fact a super league team are after a division 1 player (not necessarily my club ;)) and was just wondering if theres anything to stop them "tapping him up"!!!

From my understanding every player is a free agent when the season ends as they only sign the registration form for one season at a time so therefore players are entitled to speak to any club during the close season. I think thats the way it works

The 3 b team rule was carried last night and A team squads are to named before start of season.
Glad to here there is change, this should tighten up the A teams provided its been policed, that all clubs are given A team panels, then the Mayo League can sit back allow the clubs to take action against those who abuse the rules.

Walshek how did the claremorris side look? Have most sides been training for the past few weeks already?

I have decided to have the summer in mayo and hopefully sign on for claremorris if it isnt to late, have you any idea if i can still sign on now?

Any more news on pre season friendlies?

Cheers
