Statement from the 29th Dec
Boro have so far failed to agree terms with Terry Dixon with talks about a deal ongoing.
Ex-Spurs and West Ham striker Dixon joined the club earlier in the season but has been unable to hold down a first team spot and has played just three times.
It was thought that the Irish striker had left the club earlier today, but the club has said that it is still talking to the forward.
A statement from the club said: “We haven’t agreed contractual terms with Terry, meanwhile he is continuing with an intensive conditioning and rehabilitation programe.”

From the same link as above:
"Well, I think if you cant behave and accept the rules of the Manager, you'll never survive."
interesting.
"I was an idiot at West Ham," Dixon admits. "I had fallen into some bad habits when I was out injured and I kept up those bad habits when I was at West Ham; drinking, staying out late, not eating right, just messing.
"So I didn't do myself any favours at West Ham. I was an idiot but I have learned from that."
How many times have we seen this. "I was an idiot but have really matured," then go out and do something stupid. Unfortunately, oftentimes it takes more an "eye-opening event" rather than just the course of life to make some people grow up (and some never do). This is speaking without inside knowledge of what happened at Stevenage, but it seems to be fairly plain.

I dont think he will ever see the light of day in a green Jersey tbh.
Shame. I was excited about him when he first came up. Bad injury. Some aren't the same after it and he didn't help himself in other ways.
No Somos muchos pero estamos locos.
MLS rumors starting to pop up again.

At this point I don't think it would be a terrible move, its probably better than dropping into the Conference North/South.

Well thats two tiers lower than I had guessed (Joe O'Cearuill is playing in the Conference South), but not surprising. I know that there are some internationals playing in that league (Ryan Edgar of Dominica and Ellis Remy of Montserrat play for Brentwood Town to name a few) so he'll be in good company even if he never made his full debut.

He can come and play for Lewes if he likes.
made his debut yesterday:
From the start eyes were on Terry Dixon making his debut after signing from Stevenage. His trademark was a deft touch and an ability to turn an opponent. He almost made it a debut to remember when put through after some good approach play. But his shot was well saved by Elliot Justham, being turned round the post for one of many corners that Ware forced throughout the game.
On the debit side Dixon is inevitably lacking match fitness and was substituted in the second half having earlier picked up a disappointing yellow card.
So much for his international aspirations.
Dixon leaves Ware to go to Tooting and Mitcham
The 21-year-old, who was looking to gain match fitness ahead of a mooted move to American Major League Soccer, has only featured in a couple of games for Ware, and was left out of a recent league match after failing to make training.
very dissapointing, had high hopes for terry, hopefully he makes some sort of career out of it
"was left out of a recent league match after failing to make training"
no sympathy for the guy now
A friend of mine is a coach at spurs. I remember asking him years ago about the talents they had. He said O'Hara was a decent player and had a good chance, he said Dixon was pure class....
