Jeez I could watch that for 24 hours and that would not be good for an old man.
Who is this personification of womanhood and if its Stephen Irelands girlfriend then I can say for the first time that I am jealous of the guy.
The contours in the vital area are a thing of beauty !
First of all, it is his business as Ireland is a Villa player and Houllier wants him to play internationals. Similar to the way in which Tony Pulis likes it when Glenn Whelan gets game time with Ireland. Houllier did not sign Ireland and he can use whatever team selection methods he prefers to determine his first team placings (that includes international performances btw). That is provided that his employers are happy with his results on the pitch (results garnered through his methods). And further, who are the seasoned internationals in Houllier's squad that would replace Reo-Coker, Albrighton, and Heskey? (don't you dare say bleedin John Carew either as he is at the same level as Heskey). He has not been in charge of the club during any transfer window either. You do realize how retarded your post was right? Besides, Mark Albrighton is an excellent player.

You're just being pedantic now.
Heskey has had a long international career and is probably at the stage where he'll benefit from the few weeks off each season. He's already proven he can play at that level. Ireland only has a few Europa League and a few internationals to show for himself.
Fair play to Houllier.
Ireland and Trap both need a boot up the hole on this one.

"They're coming in with £10,000 watches on their wrists and walking around as if they have played 200 Premier League games."
We wouldn't know anyone like that, would we Stephen?

Anyone read Louise Taylor's write up on Sunderland v Villa in today's Guardian? Maybe someone can stick up a link. I'm in an internet cafe with the clock ticking.
She was openly hostile to Stephen Ireland, the whole theme of the article was about how he was lost and she couldn't hide her dislike for him. She quoted City "insiders" as saying "he's in the top 5% talent-wise, bottom 5% mental-strength-wise". Worth reading...
Ou-est le Centre George Pompidou?
Stephen's driving a Smart Car now.....

Houllier slams Ireland.
Can't say I'm surprised.
Ou-est le Centre George Pompidou?
Not a word from Manblue lately.... I wonder if he is the man himself!!
Delighted that Houllier has such a high opinion of Clark to start him in midfield. He's going to be brilliant for us.
It will be intereting to see how a sensitive lad like Stephen responds to such a public dressing down.
Will he spit the dummy or knuckle down and show that he is not one of these young guys acting flash without having done a whole lot in the game.
Genuinely, it will be intereting to see what occurs.
Yeah, I agree.
Part of me is glad that the "Stephen Ireland is the be all and end all of Irish football" bubble is bursting, but the inquisitive / curious part of me is genuinely interested to see how this pans out.
My natural reaction is to be utterly contemptive of Ireland's attitude, but he's a symptom, not the problem. Football has big problems. The international federation is not fit for purpose, and many of the national federations aren't either. The lunatics run the asylum.
The interests of stakeholders are totally misaligned: for every footballer looking after number one and pulling the strings, there are tens of thousands of supporters (customers in any other business) with virtually no say. Officials on the pitch are barely fit for purpose either, and the players, without any sense of dignity or integrity, will exploit any human weakness in officialdom they can find.
The Nani goal yesterday illustrates football's problem perfectly: the officials weren't up to it, the goalkeeper was too thick to adhere to the most basic of basic principles (play the whistle), the goalscorer hadn't a shred of basic integrity or sportsmanship (nor did the game expect him to have any), the opposing captain was allowed a private audience with the officals while they were consulting, possibly because of his fame / status, and nobody really believes it's all a symptom of anything wrong anyway.
It's not just a freak event, it's a bellweather event, exemplifying just how badly one of the world's simplest games is played and administered.
Dunphy was bang on in his post-WC Final synopsis: football is enduring a crisis of authority, on and off the pitch.
