It would depend on how the club is incorporated and lots of other stuff. Derry, as far as I know, was transferred to another company before the company that owned the club went into liquidation so it wasn't subject to a wind-up order from the courts, but Cork City and Shamrock Rovers had to be given permission to write down debts by the courts. Galway had to set up an entirely new club. I don't know what Shelbourne's precise situation would be.

They are probably just waiting until the move to Dalymount as the right time to have a Shelbourne 2018 etc reincarnation.
No point in forming a new company now and struggling along until the move.
If they did it now the chances are the "new" club would be insolvent again by the time the stadium opens (based on current crowds)

I know there are many theories on the delays with Harps new grount but it is simply a swap of land for the build but the land is now worth damn all now in relative terms. The builder isnt going to make killing turning Finn Park in to flats so just doesnt fancy holding up his side of the 'bargain'. Harps probably cant or dont want to push the legal route assuming there was a contract signed in hope that it will be resolved. Sounds like Harps (and the rest of us) need Councils for a dig out to to finish things off.
Are more developments in line for the Markets Field? AFAIK there was going to be improvements in phases.

A Championship: 4 years - 8 first teams - 0 financially ruined. First Division '14: 7 first teams.
Opportunity lost for new clubs/regions to join the LoI family.
New dugouts seem to be being built in Tallaght. Looked as if they were getting rid of the plastic things and putting a new uncovered seat style bench slightly indented into the stand like a simpler Stamford bridge type thing but they could easily have just been pushing the existing plastic benches back into the stand a bit. Wonder if its something to do with UEFA criteria. They've also added two temporary camera stands at the back of the east stand.
The club told fans about that at the meeting a couple of weeks ago. Don't think it's anything to do with UEFA - just the old dugouts weren't very good and were a bit beaten up.
They seem to have, yeah. The capacity will be under 6,000.
It would appear but not announced yet, that a deal has been finally agreed with all parties involved in the lease of Oriel Park. If this is correct, the club can look at all options of much needed redevelopment and hopefully focus on the priority, the changing of the pitch.
Another issue though is levies being sought by Louth Co Co it appears, although these were from the previous regime, this might be a massive stumbling block to get over.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), first Irish club to win points in a group stage in Europe (2016).
Still no a single word on any new progress on Harps new ground
We are the SR the SRFC.......
Part time Finn Harps too :)
I more so meant improvements to the general Stadium , any meaningful improvements beyond repairs (which are a bit of a waste if you then rebuild) would need planning permission etc. even with no objections and there is always some nutter out there it would be almost impossible to get done in6 months
