It's frightening to see Killer Kilbane last started a game for Wigan back in October. I just hope the Trap has noticed the two lads playing at full back for Wolves this season. Unfortunately he had his chance to blood Foley and Ward against Poland but decided against it. Both have impressed me every time I've seen Wolves this season.
Interesting to see Foley playing in midfield again for Wolves.
I think Foley can work his way into the starting XI sometime during this campaign, either at right full or centre-mid.
I just hope the games still matter at that stage.
Also, I guess we'll be keeping an eye on Graham Gartland as an "Irish Player Abroad" now that he's signed with St. Johnstone on a free for the rest of the season. Hopefully he can use that as a springboard to greater things.

Both played in the B game against Forest at Dalymount. I didn't see much of Foley from where I was sitting, but Ward was right in front of me for the second half. Looked comfortable on the ball, gave Andrews an option to play the ball to when he came deep, and tried to release Hoolahan whenever possible.

The Reading trio Stephen Hunt, Kevin Hunt and Kevin Doyle won the most games, picking up three points on five separate occasions
Swansea's Thomas Butler started the most draws, the Dubliner finished the month with five draws
Butler was also the join most booked player, picking up three yellow cards, along with David Van Zanten
Shay Given finished the twelfth month as the goalkeeper with the most wins (two) and losses (also two)
However it was Glenn Whelan, Rory Delap, David Bell, Andy O'Brien and Gary Doherty who tied for the worst month. Each player came away with nothing from a game five times

Kevin Foley has started the most wins this season, the Luton born player has won 19 games this season for Wolves.
Richard Dunne has won the fourth most games so far (11) but also lost the fourth most (10)
Unsurprisingly, Championship players dominate the most starts chart, with six players (Sean St Ledger, Kevin Foley, Chris McCann, Stephen Hunt, Stephen Quinn and Lee Carlsey) all starting 28 times for their respective clubs
Incredibly, Foley has completed 90 minutes in each of his games
Kieran Westwood is the only goalkeeper to be substituted in 2008/2009
Despite the column inches dedicated to the number of Robbie Keane's substitutions (16) Noel Hunt has been substituted more. The Reading player has been withdrawn 17 times
Shane Long was introduced more than any other player, and by some distance. The striker came off the bench 19 times, Lee Trundle and Andy Keogh are in join second with 15 points
With goalkeepers the least likely player to be introduced, it's not too surprising that Shane Supple has stayed on the bench 28 times this season for Ipswich. However, more troubling is that Darren O'Dea has been benched 16 times so far in 2008/2009
Kevin Doyle is by far the top Irish goalscorer this season, with 16 goals in 26 games. What makes it more astonishing is that none of these are penalties. Fellow Royal (albeit on loan) Scott Davies is the top penalty taker, finding the net five times from 12 yards (including two in one game) while at Aldershot
Despite Doyle's record, it is Noel Hunt who is the leading talisman for the season so far, Reading have won each of the nine games where Hunt has scored
Darren Murphy is now with Stevenage Borough. Made his debut at the weekend as a substitute.

How did they do?
Still waiting for Garry Breen's league debut, he's made a few squads at Hereford but none recently but I think he's been playing for their reserves. Interestingly, this Breen is now a league above the "real" Gary Breen who is now at Barnet.

Watched the game earlier- both of them looked dangerous at times, especially Treacy; however, both of them scuffed opportunities and wasted possession far too often for my liking.
The potential is definitely there for both of them (Judge looked particularly tricky), but they're raw and need more time to develop, maybe out on loan.
Treacy is a big, physical athlete of a player- I compared him to a young Kilbane with maybe a little less brawn and a touch more talent before, and I'd stick with that comment.
I think he will make it in the Premiership at some stage of his career simply due to his physique and athleticism, and due to Allardyce's style of play, I think he has every chance to succeed at Blackburn.
I don't see Judge making the grade at Blackburn, at least not while Allardyce is around. He's a small, tricky winger. He's got some talent, but won't suit Allardyce's 4-3-3 unless he can learn to play as an attacking wide player.
It's my first time seeing Judge so don't take my observations as gospel, but there you go.

Did a job for them in the championship but wasn't up to Premier League standard. Presume he'll sign for Carlisle now.
Regarding simon cox, the Irish Times list of Irish players is probably not the most reliable source as they constantly fail to list many players each week. It is probably best to email the FAI itself to ask if he is eligable as if he actually is, it's no good unless they actually know about him.

He's listed in the Irish Times Irish players in England section, and he's got a mention in a few articles on eleven-a-side.com
