Does any know where to get the dates of results of previous seasons going back to start of the league in 1921. I have all the results in a few books, but they do not have the dates of the matches, I do have dates from Bray, Dundalk, Harps and Galway games, but not the other teams.
There's no online resource that I know of, but you'll find lots on the glorious RSSSF.com.
Best one-stop-shop source for results is a book published by the English AFS (Association of Football Statisticians), by Niall or Neil McSweeney, with an imaginative title along the lines of "A record of League of Ireland football 1921-1985". Very comprehensive, but as the name suggests only up to mid-80s. It's hard to find- I have a rather battered photocopy of a photocopy- keep an eye on eBay.
Alternatively, pop down the library and trawl through the papers!
For UCD, the answer to pretty much any question here is going to be "There's some info on www.STIGonline.com"
Above released a statistacal history of ROI soccer a year or 2 back, may be able to order it thru easons
