Yes I do.. They are representing the league after all. Plus you have to think of the co-efficient!
I might even go along to Dalymount to see Drogheda during the week.![]()
Was just wondering about this. I presume not, but I guess its a bit of a catch 22 situation.
Like this is my first season of going to Eircom League matches since 2004, but I plan on going to all Eircom League clubs in European matches.
I hate St.Pat's though so I'm not going to watch them.

I want them to do well, until they are successful![]()
Yes, but saying that I want us to be the first to reach the group stages![]()
Yes...........I even wanted Shels to do well a few years ago.
When we went on our Uefa journey two years ago we had fans from at least 50% of all EL clubs supporting us in Scotland and Paris. They were all made to feel very welcome and joined in with the 3,000 plus Derry fans who made the journey.
So if you think Bohs are big read this. http://www.astronomy.ie/perpespective.html
Of course. Clubs playing in Europe are representing our league. When our league gets to the stage where we have so much recognition and credibility that we can afford not to do well in Europe we can curse a rival club's progress but at the moment it benefits the league as a whole for clubs to do well in Europe.
Yes, unless I strongly dislike quite a few of their players and staff.
I like to see all EL teams doing well in Europe except Rovers.
Mostly, bar Bohs, Rovers and Shels. Wouldn't like to see someone get too far though

Went to see Shels v Deportivo and supported Shels
RIP JOHNNY
I would follow others and have been to european games involving longford, bohs, drogheda, derry, shels and ourselves. The only way our league will achieve recognition is through europe so many people in ireland have champions league tinted spectacles, for example even though i dont support bohs people have already been on to me saying the league is a joke because we cant beat teams from latvia. I know we're a small country but with the young talent we have in ireland we should have at least one club who could possibly make it a la shels. Just look at scotland![]()

Would support any team bar teams we would be rivals with. But nobody gives a toss about UCD, hence no rivals and therefore I support any team in European competition.
Am a lot more ambivalent about this that I used to be. At one time I hoped for progression for every club for the good of the league, but as time goes on I become more cynical as to whether the results our teams are ever likely to achieve will really make any impact on the general public. With an increasing gap between rich and poor in the league and increased rewards for participation it's coming to the stage were I'm not so bothered whether Irish clubs do well. If they win happy days, if they lose laugh at them- everyone's a winner!

Always (passively) support them myself. I'd probably even wish Shamrock Rovers well in Europe as long as they didn't go too far (although I couldn't watch them play.)
A leading authority on League of Ireland football since 2003. You're probably wrong.
I always shout for Irish clubs in Europe. Went to La Coruna with Shels a few years back with an other United fan. Ended up sittin beside ex Rovers player Eoin Mullen on the plane. Sound lad, had a few beers with him down on the beach outside Deportivo's ground. There were fans of most clubs there to shout for Shels, I suppose a Champions League breakthrough by any League club would give the league the respect it deserves.
