Well done Tullamore Town.
It's great to see e.L.o.I. football in new counties in Ireland.
I hope they do very well, just not at our expence next year
when it will be compulsary for us to have a team as we will
be a Premier Division club.

The BEST night of my life. B.T.I.D.
Salthill Devon 3-1 Sligo Rovers
Salthill came from behind to beat Sligo, who only brought 12 with them to Drom. Steve Feeney opened the scoringwith a tap in for Sligo, but had to put their left full in goals at half time as Pat Jennings pulled a hamstring. Salthill equalised just after the break, and then Sligo were down to 10 as one of their defenders had concussion. Salthill took full advantage and scored within a minute, finishing the game with a fine strike from Brian O'Grady ten minutes from time.
Mervue United 1-1 Drogheda Utd
Mervue deservedly drew with Drogheda despite playing with ten men for an hour. A young Mervue side were on top, but Graham Howard struck on 14 minutes to give Drogs the lead with a crisp volley. David McAllister almost doubled the lead, before Ollie Keogh was rightly sent to the line (while in the process of being taken off) by referee Paul Deering. Drogs had a couple of half chances, but Mervue drew level when Ian Snee's free-kick was palmed onto the bar by Joe Flanagan, and David Goldbey was on hand to head in the rebound. Stephen Nolan hit the post, but Mervue defended well and almost snatched a win when Kevin Barrett's late volley was well saved by Flanagan.
