Congratulations guys; a hairy one for sure, but it's good to see it getting the go ahead - no excuses now

What was the ETA for building / completion assuming the go-ahead was got?

Well the planning application is to be decided on the 18th, so after that I'm not sure of timescale.

I wouldn't be surprised if at the latest it was 2011 that we get to play the first game there.

    seats 10,000
it's a lego build apprarently in that it uses all similar parts no matter which stand is being manufactured. not quite pre fab but similar time benefits to pre fab .

bits are shipped in and slotted onto a foundation and pitch. construction happening as foundations prepared and then slotted together - I reckon completion a year after official go ahead so probably end of 2009 possible with 2010 the more likely. Sounds like a date from back to the future but really its the season after next. C'mon the super drogs

Lovin it except for three things
    no terrace
    it's in meath and
    traffic issues may arise

it's free stadium though so eh.. Nice One!

Significant further information and revised plans, in relation to the application has been submitted.
From what I can remember its €11M to build, but I'm not sure if that's just the stadium. Stadium supposedly build in six months. No idea what the overall timeframe is but I'd imagine the ground will be first before we are thrown out of United Park.

There is still a month for objections .......

Hunky Dorys Park - could be worse, we could be going to Old Trafford every other week

    This is great news
delighted that Drogs have moved this step closer to their new stadium; sure its still a long way to go (ask Shamrock Rovers) BUT its a step forward (& many of us worried that MeathCC would block them at this point)

This is just the zoning issue,
now they have to get the planning permission
followed by the inevitable appeal to An Bord Pleanalla

possibly followed by recourse to the courts (although hopefully this won't happen THIS time!)

THEN FINALLY, the only hurdles will be finance & problems with the build/builders
