No way. i'd have no problem with fees being intorduced if they were fair, but this country is a joke so no chance. We're already getting completely fcuked over on tax, prices etc., so is it too much to ask for free college?! If taxes were fair and EVERYTHING wasn't a rip-off I mightn't have a problem with fees, but as it is giving any more money to those contemptible, lying thieves who call themselves our government is a no-no.

postgrads, foreign and mature students still have to pay fees in answer to a previous question.

I too think noel dempsey is a pain in the proverbial

but all i really know is that if it hadn't been for the grant i couldn't have afforded to go to college, sure there are people who have no interest and sponge, but they're going to go anyway.

Mature students do not pay fees if they have not previously attended college.

The best way to go about it would be a loan system that you repay when you start earning.

Agree 100% about the grant, feicin throwing away money. While they're at it why not abolish the students union another waste of funds.
God Bless Noel Dempsey, the new grant scheme will further throw away money by giving virtually every student some form of grant.

    but on the other side........

    Wahoo free money
    Oh no not them again

methinks its a joke trying to force everyone to go to college - put some fuddermuckin money into fixed primary and secondry Noelie and THEN think about it, otherwise we'll end up with all our 7 yr-olds getting pnemonia (?) from leaking school roofs and 750,000 arts graduates
