    La Liga 07/08.

    Who's your tip?
Will Barca play the Fantastic 4 together?
Madrid have brought in decent defenders but will they be as solid without Capello to orhestrate things?
I can see Madrid and Barca pulling away from the others this year.
They've both done very well in the transfer market and will be very interesting to see what the starting 11s are.
Giovanni Dos Santos and Drenthe should make an impression (Krkic too young).
The Madrid derby should give a good impression of where those clubs are and I can't see a new Real defence holding out.

    1. Barca
    2. Real
    3. Atletico Madrid
    4. Sevilla.
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

    G.O'Mahoney Trapattoni'll sort ém out!!

can see Valencia staying in the top 4.

Don't forget that the African Cup of Nations will take a few players away for a month or so at January (most notably Eto'o'o'o'o'o)

Looking forward to having something to watch on Sundays again. Sky showing 4 games live this weekend (2 sat, 2 sun)

Atletico look really strong up front think season , can see things going badly for Schuster if they dont find a settled team quick ,cant see anyone stopping Barca , they done well last year despite not winning the league , the fact is that they threw it away and should really have won it

Well, every season Atletico are hyped up to do well and always show a poor display during the season, a bit ironic, when Torres leaves, they will do well. Should be a real top league this season, I can see Barca playing playing those 'Fab 4', Henry and Eto'o up front, Ronaldinho on the right wing and Messi on the left wing, with Xavi and Toure in the middle.

    I would go for:
    Barca
    Real Madrid
    Sevilla
    Valencia

    Atletico
    Villareal

I suspect even Rijkaard wouldn't take that gamble. Even in the original Conceicao and Makelele galacticos team, Zidane and Figo tracked back.
I think Ronaldinho and Messis influence would be severely diminished if they were put in that role and I think Ronaldinho would even be incapable of it.
The only way I could see the 4 of them starting is if Ronaldinho took Decos old role.

    I'd go with
    ------------------------Victor Valdes-------------------
    Zambrotta------Milito------------Puyol-----------Abidal--
    -----------------------Yaya Toure---------------------
    ------------Iniesta-------------------Xavi-------------
    Messi------------------Etoo------------------Ronaldinho

but then i hate Deco. I doubt they'll find a settled central-defensive partnership.
I don't think there'll be a problem with the 4 strikers as the chances are one of the 4 is likely to be injured / suspended / away on international duty anyway for each match.

Valencia are decent and Helguera is imo a solid replacement for Ayala but I think Atleticos midfield is possibly the best in La Liga and Forlan(still don't know if he's actually good), Aguero and Reyes should score consistently.
Valencia will finish in CL places but only if Sevilla(possible CL assault) fall away.
