Doesn't mean much, but two Irish players, Morrisson and Lawrence, got the nod in football365.com's Championship team of the season.
If Forest get a bit accepted he won't reject them.

You can't spell failure without FAI
I would say it means a lot both should IMO be in the next squad.
You can possibly add David Norris from that list too. Has he declared or been approached by Ireland yet?
If so and he joins Ipswich they could field a whole Irish midfield now that Quinn, Garvan and Walters are there and George O'Callaghan is still on their books although it looks like he's on his way out of the club.
I heard Burnley have put in a few bids for Glenn Whelan.

id say thats just on hold tbh tets, id say we will see him sooner or later. is he any better than, Doyle or Quinn though. didnt Doyle turn down prem interest to sign a new deal a cov in the summer, nearly sure i read he did. and didnt he put in an incredible peformance in the arena when we beat the dutch in that friendly when Keane scored?
it would be harsh on him if he were passed over for another cap in favour of Norris after that, in my opinion.
Alan Maybury has left leicester to train with hearts for now, having been told he wont be featuring here, by the new manager.
when he came here, in a jan transfer window, he came a close second for player of the season that season. but in that summer, promoted sunderland displayed an interest and leicester blocked it and he never seemed as motivated again.
he was linked with several sides, mostly SPL ones, but always elected to stay on a contract which was using the last of leicesters parachute money from their last spell uptop. this has fostered a bit of resentment here, but i guess Maybury would have a different view on it.

Little bit more on that story from the local rag here, if anyone is interested. Was always a good player for Hearts, I hated him.

"It's time for the FAI to grow up." John O'Donoghue, Minister for Sport, RTE , Sunday 7 Nov 2004
how sad am I ???
I watched the game yesterday as I thought Adam Rooney might play, and this Moloney lad had an absolute stormer at right back, he is a tall pacey player who can also play centre back, he was always getting involved, made quite a few darting runs down the wing, linked up especially well with Chesterfields forward players, and scored an unbelievable goal, which is bound to be shown time and time again on Sky, he picked the ball up in his own half, made another darting run, this time cutting into the middle of the park, then suddenly let fly with his left foot from 25 yards, and bingo....
He is currently on loan from Notts Forest, and I am really excited thet we may have unearthed a relatively unknown player....i know i am going a little over the top, but this lad really does look a player.....

Quite the night for Brendan Moloney. His first full game of the season, first goal, and first booking!
Moloney is highly regarded at Forest. One for the future and can play in quite a few positions.

You'll NEVER beat the Irish.......you'll just draw with us instead!!!
more on the Norris to leicester story, im guessing form the Irish point of view, its much of a muchness whether he goes to ipswich, leicester or stays where he is. all provincial clubs with half an eye on the division above AND below them at times

Robbie Keane makes a start on the next 100 goals for Spurs. And gets substituted. Again.
